The Partnerships is a membership that offers senior members of asset management business development teams a unique, multi-faceted opportunity to connect, engage and learn with decision makers from preeminent institutions and their consultants. After the successful launch of The Partnerships in the U.S. in 2022, we successfully launched our first Wealth Partnership in 2024 and we are looking to replicate the impressive growth we have seen for the core product. We are seeking a director-level candidate to spearhead the evolution of the initiative.

The Business Development Director, Wealth Partnerships will be responsible for cultivating and growing relationships with leading asset management firms in the US and bringing them in as members of the Wealth Partnerships. S/he must have significant sales experience, an existing book of business within the Wealth Management space and be comfortable meeting and exceeding sales targets.

This role requires an ambitious, dynamic and results-oriented professional with a keen understanding of the asset management industry and private wealth ecosystem, strong relationship-building skills, and a proven track record. This role is critical in expanding our market presence and achieving our business objectives in the US.

 

Responsibilities

  • With the Partnerships team, develop our membership offering for wealth management firms in the US.
  • Ownership of executing the go to market plan for this proposition. Refine and build sales messaging, client benefits and pricing.
  • Personally achieve ambitious revenue and contract goals against this set of products.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key partners.
  • Develop new relationships with prospective clients to nurture leads into paying Wealth Partnerships members.
  • With support of the Client Services staff, ensure best in class client service throughout a client’s interaction with us, ensuring consistently high renewal rates.
  • Continually build a pipeline of new members and update appropriate systems to provide visibility to leadership. 
  • Work cohesively with our IR team to ensure our event ratios are industry best and our audience is curated to the highest standard.
  • Attend all in-person Retreats for networking purposes
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align Wealth partnership initiatives with product offerings and market demands.
  • Actively participate in industry forums and networks to enhance the company's visibility and influence.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and network of connections within the wealth management industry
  • Significant sales experience in business development and exceeding targets and goals.
  • Proven track record of successfully driving commercial success for Wealth events within the US
  • Experience of achieving goals for launch events
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of market dynamics and competitive landscapes.
  • Effective organisational skills, accuracy and attention to detail
  • Results-oriented, high personal integrity and strong work ethic
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet with partners and attend industry events.
  • Works well under pressure and can multitask.
  • An enthusiastic, highly motivated self-starter.
  • Knowledge of SalesForce preferred
