Our platform has supported over 400,000 cancer risk assessments, detecting more than 30,000 cancers across 50+ types, and is integrated into healthcare systems covering over 10 million lives in the NHS. As we expand internationally, we are seeking a visionary Commercial Lead to drive our growth into private healthcare, insurance, and employee benefits markets, supplementing our established presence in the NHS.

This first-of-its-kind role reports directly to the CEO and requires a commercial leader with proven experience in developing and scaling B2B2C and B2C platforms within the private healthcare and insurance sectors. You will design and execute commercial and pricing strategies for payer plans, private hospitals, and insurance packages, ensuring our platform delivers value across diverse markets. Working closely with the CEO, you will play a critical role in scaling operations nationally and internationally, positioning C the Signs as a leader in both public and private healthcare.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commercial Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive commercial strategy for B2B2C and B2C platforms, focusing on scaling operations across private healthcare, insurance, and employee benefits markets.
  • Pricing Models: Design innovative pricing and commercial models tailored to payer plans, insurance providers, and private hospitals, balancing scalability and profitability.
  • Market Expansion:
    • Lead efforts to expand into private healthcare markets both nationally and internationally.
    • Identify opportunities to scale in new geographies, tailoring commercial approaches to market-specific needs.
  • Partnership Development: Build and maintain relationships with private hospitals, insurance providers, and corporate clients, ensuring alignment on value propositions and partnership goals.
  • Employee Benefits Expertise: Create tailored packages for employee benefits platforms, demonstrating the value of cancer risk assessment tools for employers and payers.
  • Operational Scaling: Collaborate with the CEO to design and implement scalable commercial operations, ensuring efficient delivery of the platform to private sector clients.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the product, marketing, and clinical teams to align commercial goals with platform features and user needs.
  • Data-Driven Decisions: Leverage market research, user data, and analytics to inform commercial decisions and identify areas for growth.
  • Revenue Growth: Develop and implement strategies to achieve ambitious revenue targets, ensuring commercial models support both near-term and long-term growth.
  • Industry Expertise: Stay informed on emerging trends in private healthcare, insurance, and digital health, ensuring C the Signs remains ahead of the curve.

Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in commercial leadership roles within insurance, payer plans, employee benefits, or private healthcare sectors.
  • Proven track record of creating and scaling B2B2C and B2C commercial models, with experience working with private hospitals and insurance providers.

Commercial Expertise:

  • Deep understanding of pricing strategies, including risk-based pricing, subscription models, and tiered value propositions.
  • Experience developing packages for employer-sponsored healthcare benefits and integrating platforms into employee benefits ecosystems.

Healthcare Knowledge:

  • Strong familiarity with private healthcare markets and how insurance and payer models operate globally.
  • Experience collaborating with clinicians, payers, and product teams to align commercial goals with healthcare needs.

Scaling Experience:

  • Demonstrated success in scaling operations nationally and internationally, with a focus on entering new markets and optimising commercial strategies.

Strategic Thinking:

  • Ability to design and execute scalable, high-growth commercial strategies that balance innovation and operational efficiency.
  • Proficient in evaluating market opportunities and building business cases for new initiatives.

Communication and Leadership:

  • Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels.
  • Comfortable reporting to and collaborating with senior leadership, particularly the CEO, in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Education:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree required; advanced degree (e.g., MBA or Masterโ€™s in Healthcare Management) is highly desirable.
