This role offers flexibility and is based in London with a hybrid schedule.
What You'll Do:
- Lead the development and continuous improvement of our website for 2025.
- Develop user journey maps to identify pain points and opportunities to improve the user experience.
- Create Figma mockups for new page designs and seamlessly implement them in WordPress.
- Build and maintain custom Gutenberg blocks, Hubspot landing pages and leverage Full-Site Editing to enhance flexibility and control.
- Manage a Git pipeline with WP Engine to handle weekly site updates — addressing a mixture of bug fixes and larger project enhancements.
- Ensure site security, performance, and scalability to handle high-traffic demands.
- Collaborate closely with the design, SEO, and content teams to align priorities and strategy.
- Conduct regular performance audits and optimization to maintain a fast, reliable user experience.
What You'll Bring:
- Expertise in WordPress Full-Site Editing and Gutenberg block development.
- Experience in various UX research methodologies, such as A/B testing to inform design decisions.
- Strong HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP skills.
- Proven ability to create and implement designs using Figma.
- Extensive experience with enterprise-level security and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with responsive design and web accessibility standards.
- Experience managing high-traffic websites.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and cloud hosting platforms (e.g., AWS).
- Experience with DevOps, version control (Git), and deploying updates through a Git pipeline on WP Engine.
Amazing if You Also Have:
- 3 years of experience developing WordPress with a deep understanding of Full-Site Editing, Gutenberg blocks, and custom development. You should have a strong command of WordPress best practices, security protocols, and performance optimization for high-traffic websites.
- Hands-on expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP with a proven ability to turn Figma mockups into functional, responsive WordPress pages.
- Proficiency in managing updates via a Git pipeline on WP Engine — ensuring seamless weekly updates that address both bug fixes and larger-scale projects.
- A passion for UX with a drive to suggest and implement design and functional improvements that enhance site performance, improve user engagement, and drive higher conversions.
- Someone who’s comfortable collaborating across design, content, and SEO teams to push the site forward in terms of both functionality and user experience.
