Future PLC specializes in selling media space to media agencies and brand marketing teams across the UK and US, driving impactful advertising solutions. We are looking for a Director of Business Development to join our New York office and support our mission to deliver outstanding media services.

What you’ll do…

As the Director of Business Development you will help drive growth of the client opportunities for Future Publishing. We are looking for someone who can serve as a leader and visionary, in addition to seeing through the realization of the vision. You will report into SVP of Commercial at Future. 

In collaboration with product and sales leaders, you will lead the charge of creating revenue-driving opportunities that exist at the intersection of performance ads and data, retail media, and Future’s assets. At its core, you will be about developing solutions for Future’s current and new clients which, in turn, captures incremental digital marketing dollars. 

  • Source and analyze market trends and competitor activities, in the area of brand + performance advertising, retail media, and commerce-based marketing
  • Collaborate with internal product teams to mold Future’s strategic value proposition in light of market insight and Future’s portfolio and assets 
  • Conduct client consultations to understand their performance and commerce-based marketing goals
  • Prospect and generate leads for potential new clients through several channels, including networking, and digital outreach
  • Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and demonstrations that showcase Future’s capabilities and value proposition
  • Create tailored proposals and deal terms that can accommodate client requirements and highlight Future’s unique strengths

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve… 

  • 7 or more years of experience in business development
  • Proven record of delivering on business development-like projects where many of unknowns exist and paths are uncharted 
  • Extensive expertise in today’s digital media and marketing industry across key themes of retail media networks, commerce, brand and performance advertising
  • Strong relationship builder and skilled in client management across levels and disparate players, including C-Suite, programmatic buyers, agency teams and data providers 
  • Fluency in the landscape of digital marketing data marketplace, including key suppliers, cost structures and benchmarks, advertiser use cases

Please note, the salary range for this position is $162,000-$230,000

This is a Hybrid role from our New York Office, working three days from the office, two from home
