The opportunity:

Datadog’s event marketing team is the secret sauce behind our premiere experiential marketing efforts. Managing over 100 sponsored and third party events across the globe, their work is truly the backbone of our lead gen engine!

As the Staff & Travel Coordinator, you’ll play an integral part in curating memorable, attention grabbing events by facilitating (sourcing, training, and managing) our global staffing and travel initiatives for Datadog programs all around the globe. Our event staff drive memorable and engaging attendee interactions by pushing the envelope through creative marketing tactics, interactive displays, and a larger than life presence at the industry’s leading events. This role will focus on staffing and travel for our NAMER, LATAM & EMEA based event marketing teams and play an active role in supporting our growing event program around the world. You will:

  • Assist in the planning and execution of 500-100,000+ person events all around the globe
  • Help to manage all pre, during, and post event logistics from beginning to end from a staffing and travel perspective
  • Engage with senior stakeholders from various departments to support event programming
  • Manage and track event travel budgets, contracts and expenses
  • Enforce our travel policy, create travel reports, and analyze trips to determine trends
  • Respond to travel-related inquiries
  • Provide support to onsite staff



Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 years work experience in either customer service or a comparable role working for multiple stakeholders (Internships count!)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with internal teams and partners
  • Proven ability to manage changing priorities, remain calm under pressure, think on your paws and are comfortable being the leader of the pack.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% (both domestic and international) and work a flexible schedule as needed - evenings and weekends.
  • A true people person with an empathetic and friendly demeanor
  • Eager to learn, grow, and contribute with a positive, team-player attitude
  • Incredibly organized with strong time-management skills
  • Exceptionally detail-oriented with a high standard for accuracy
  • Able to communicate clearly and concisely in writing
  • Resourceful and proactive with strong problem-solving skills knowing when to ask for help
