Browserbase is seeking an experienced Field Marketing Lead to pioneer our events strategy. As our first dedicated events hire, you'll have the exciting opportunity to build our field marketing program from the ground up. You'll develop and execute a comprehensive events strategy spanning enterprise sponsorships, developer-focused hackathons, community meetups, executive dinners, and our own branded conferences. This role will be instrumental in establishing Browserbase's market presence, building community, and driving high-value customer relationships.
This is our first event hire! Would be great if you've built an event program from the ground up and bonus points if you can also flex into Demand Gen work as we're a small team.
Design and implement Browserbase's overall events strategy aligned with our business goals and target audiences
Identify, evaluate, and manage sponsorships for industry conferences and enterprise events
Conceptualize and execute developer-focused events like hackathons and technical workshops
Build a community engagement program through regular meetups and user groups
Plan and execute high-touch executive events such as dinners, roundtables, and VIP experiences
Develop the roadmap for Browserbase's owned conferences and signature events
Manage event budgets, logistics, vendors, and cross-functional resources
Create compelling event content and experiences that showcase Browserbase's value
Collaborate with demand generation, product marketing, and sales teams to maximize event ROI
Develop metrics and reporting frameworks to measure event success
Build relationships with industry influencers, partners, and community leaders
5+ years of field marketing or events experience, preferably in B2B technology
Proven track record of planning and executing successful tech events of various formats and scales
Experience with both developer-focused events and enterprise marketing events
Strong project management skills with meticulous attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal and networking abilities
Creative mindset with the ability to design memorable event experiences
Data-driven approach to event planning and ROI measurement
Ability to travel as needed for events (approximately 25-30%)
Experience building an events program from scratch
Knowledge of the developer tools or enterprise software landscape
Familiarity with event technologies and marketing automation platforms
Understanding of technical audiences and developer marketing
Experience with virtual and hybrid event formats
Budget management and vendor negotiation skills
