Chef Robotics is on a mission to accelerate the advent of intelligent machines in the physical world. As the rise of LLMs like ChatGPT has shown, AI has the potential to drive immense change. However, we believe AI’s biggest impact will be in the physical world, given industries like manufacturing, food, and transportation represent 90% of global GDP. We're starting with food, with a goal to put an intelligent robot in every commercial kitchen in the world. We have signed multiple multi-year contracts with various large food companies and we are growing fast. We're backed by investors like Kleiner Perkins, Construct, Bloomberg BETA and Promus Ventures. We have a great team, where you will be surrounded by talented engineers and tech leaders from companies like Cruise, Zoox, Google, Verb Surgical, Tesla, Nuro, Vicarious, Amazon Robotics, Strateos, Built Robotics, Facebook, Plenty, Yelp, and Microsoft.
Until now, Chef has remained quietly in stealth and its team has been almost entirely engineering + customer-related operations. Now, Chef is getting ready to do its first public release. Chef’s mission is to accelerate the advent of intelligent machines in the world and we’d like Chef to be seen as the dominant brand in Robotics/AI.
In this role, you’d be the first marketing hire at Chef; you’d work very closely with the CEO to:
- Do Chef’s public release
- Help create Chef’s brand as the market leader in food robotics and food manipulation
- Help create Chef’s brand as a leader in Embodied AI
- Help generate brand awareness in the venture capital community
- Help generate brand awareness amongst top engineers in Silicon Valley
- Help generate top-of-funnel leads who may be relevant customers
Note that this is an individual contributor position but as the first person doing marketing, it’s a generalist role with the expectation that you’d do whatever is needed. But as the marketing team grows, there will be room to expand if you are successful.
Note that this role is 100% onsite in San Francisco at Chef’s HQ.
