We are recruiting a Head of Product to oversee every element of product delivery, from initial design to post-launch growth, ensuring each product provides optimal value to our customers and business. The Head of Product will play a pivotal role in shaping our product function, leading product strategy, and steering cross-functional teams toward shared goals in customer-driven innovation and business growth.

Responsibilities
Product Vision and Strategy

  • Develop and own the product vision and strategy aligned with customer needs, business growth, and technological advancements. Ensure the strategic direction leverages customer insights, market trends, and competitive intelligence.
  • Lead the entire product lifecycle, from concept through launch and post-launch, by creating a product portfolio that balances customer value, usability, feasibility, and profitability.
  • Build a product strategy that addresses key areas like customer segmentation, market-entry, and competitive positioning.

Product Team Leadership and Development

  • Establish and foster a culture of collaboration and clarity within cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with the company’s vision and goals.
  • Nurture a customer-focused product culture, coordinating efforts across product management, engineering, sales, and other key functions to enhance product outcomes.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing product team, adapting the team structure as necessary to meet business needs.

Customer Engagement and Relationship Building

  • Develop a customer engagement strategy that prioritises value and fosters long-term relationships.
  • Drive business development among corporate clients, national laboratories and nurture relationships internationally.

Enabling Marketing and Sales

  • Collaborate with sales leadership and enable the sales team to meet targets by aligning sales strategies with broader company objectives. Consider geographic expansion, customer segments, competitive landscape, and channel strategies.
  • Provide the tools, resources, and training necessary for the sales team to effectively represent and sell our solutions.

Customer Analysis and Insight

  • Pursue a detailed, data-driven understanding of customer needs, developing strategies in line with KPIs and customer metrics.
  • Enable the product team to make informed decisions based on continuous customer research and market trend analysis.

Product Skills and Knowledge

  • Maintain and develop a product-focused skillset with a deep understanding of competitor offerings, industry trends, and customer needs.
  • Upskill to effectively work with the teams and develop a deep understanding of the technological specifics of the company and competitors.

  • 5+ years of experience in technology-focused product roles or early-stage B2B sales leadership, with experience in complex, high-value sales cycles.
  • Proven record of creating innovative products and leading high-performing teams to achieve exponential growth.
  • Demonstrated success in recruiting and building product teams that drive results.
  • Experience interpreting customer needs and market trends with a data-informed approach.
  • Strategic thinking and proven ability to lead deeply technical product strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a history of clear and persuasive engagement with C-suite and cross-functional teams.
