Palm Venture Studios is on the lookout for a dynamic and seasoned professional to fill the role of Head of Talent. As a key player in our organization, you will lead our efforts to attract and recruit top-tier executive talent for our portfolio companies across various sectors. Our mission focuses on rescuing and building companies that prioritize human and planetary health, making this an opportunity to work at the intersection of sustainability and innovation.

In this executive role, you will leverage your extensive network and expertise in executive search to identify and engage leaders who share our passion for making a positive impact. You will collaborate closely with the Palm Venture Studios leadership team, scoping roles and owning the recruiting process from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

EXECUTIVE SEARCH

  • Lead end-to-end executive search processes including defining role requirements, sourcing candidates, conducting assessments, designing interviews, driving the hiring decision-making process, extending an offer, and closing through any negotiations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with potential candidates, industry leaders, to ensure a steady pipeline of highly qualified talent.
  • Use PVS applicant tracking system and prospecting vendors to source competitive candidates, and continuously enhance our sourcing and recruitment efforts with new tools or ways of reaching top candidates.
  • Design and implement compelling recruitment strategies and employer branding initiatives for our portfolio companies that align with our mission and attract top talent.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and support to hiring managers on effective interviewing and candidate evaluation techniques.
  • Analyze recruitment metrics to measure effectiveness and continually improve our talent acquisition processes.

PEOPLE OPERATIONS

  • Partner with PVS leadership team to design and implement various cultural and performance systems, programs, and initiatives.
  • Increasingly various aspects of our people operations, from onboarding flows to payroll processing.

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Proven experience (8+ years) in executive search, talent acquisition, or recruitment for high-level positions.
  • A deep understanding of the market dynamics across various sectors, with a network of industry leaders and executives.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to effectively communicate our mission and values to potential candidates.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a talent for building relationships at all levels.
  • Experience in implementing data-driven recruiting strategies and familiarity with applicant tracking systems.
  • A passion for sustainable business practices and a desire to work with companies that prioritize social and environmental impact.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, coupled with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation for this role includes competitive base salary and performance bonuses, potential for carry participation in the PVS portfolio, health insurance, and other benefits.
