Job Summary: 

FreedX, an exciting start-up cryptocurrency exchange, is seeking a skilled and proactive Head of Treasury with a hands-on mentality to support the comprehensive risk management strategy of our rapidly growing platform. The Head of Treasury will be responsible for overseeing the treasury management functions within the organization, ensuring effective liquidity management, risk mitigation, and financial planning. This role requires a strategic thinker with extensive knowledge of cryptocurrency markets, treasury operations, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of digital assets and the ability to develop and implement policies and procedures that align with the company's goals. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Liquidity Management: 

• Develop and implement strategies for optimal liquidity management across various cryptocurrencies and fiat currencies. 

• Monitor cash flow and forecast daily, weekly, and monthly funding requirements to ensure operational efficiency 

Risk Management: 

• Identify, assess, and manage financial risks associated with cryptocurrency holdings and trading activities. 

• Establish and maintain hedging strategies to mitigate risks related to market volatility. 

Financial Planning and Analysis: 

• Collaborate with the finance team to prepare budgets, financial forecasts, and performance analysis. 

• Analyze market trends, financial data, and investment opportunities to provide actionable insights to senior management. 

Policy Development: 

• Create and implement treasury policies, procedures, and controls to enhance operational efficiency and compliance; ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements related to treasury operations in different jurisdictions. 

Banking and Banking Relationships: 

• Build and maintain relationships with banks, payment processors, and other financial institutions to facilitate operations and optimize service conditions; negotiate terms and conditions for banking services and treasury products. 

Reporting: 

• Prepare regular reports and presentations regarding treasury activities, performance metrics, and strategic recommendations. 

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or relevant professional certification (CFA, CPA) is preferred. 

• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in treasury or finance roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position; experiences working at a crypto exchange valued. 

• Strong understanding of cryptocurrency markets, market structures, and digital asset management. 

• Proven experience in risk management, liquidity management, and financial analysis within a fast-paced environment. 

• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills. 

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and influence stakeholders. 

• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks governing cryptocurrency and financial institutions.
