Job Summary:

As a Marketing Automation Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping and driving OpenGov’s growth strategy through expert-level design and execution of marketing automation initiatives. Leveraging advanced expertise in Marketo and related tools, you will create and manage sophisticated, data-driven campaigns that enhance the marketing and sales funnel, engage local government buyers, and drive measurable results. Your ability to analyze trends, optimize processes, and deliver creative, scalable solutions will contribute to achieving organizational objectives. This role is ideal for a proactive, strategic thinker with a proven track record of success in marketing automation and lifecycle marketing.

Responsibilities:

    • Lead the design and implementation of complex, multi-step marketing journeys, dynamic email campaigns, and segmentation strategies to nurture leads and drive conversions across all funnel stages.
    • Collaborate with demand generation, events, design, and product marketing teams to align campaigns with overarching business objectives and customer needs.
    • Partner with customer marketing to develop personalized automation streams that enhance customer engagement, retention, and loyalty.
    • Refine lead nurturing, scoring, and handoff processes in collaboration with sales and marketing operations teams, ensuring seamless alignment and measurable outcomes.
    • Leverage behavioral, demographic, and transactional data to develop advanced segmentation and targeted campaigns that resonate with key audience segments.
    • Manage and optimize the execution of email campaigns, including segmentation, personalization, A/B testing, template optimization, and performance tracking.
    • Analyze campaign performance metrics, identify trends, and deliver actionable insights to stakeholders, continuously enhancing automation processes and outcomes.
    • Ensure compliance with email marketing regulations, including CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and CCPA, while adhering to industry best practices.
    • Maintain and enhance Marketo workflows, data integrations, and platform configurations to support evolving business needs.
    • Stay at the forefront of email marketing trends and technologies, driving innovation and effectiveness in automation strategies.

Requirements and Preferred Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Business Analytics, Marketing, or a related field of study is required. 
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in digital marketing is required. SaaS experience is preferred. 
    • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide strategic recommendations to key stakeholders.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills, with attention to detail and the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
    • Proven ability to manage complex, simultaneous projects, workstreams, and vendor relationships in a deadline-driven environment.
    • Expert in end-to-end campaign strategy, development, execution, and measurement
    • Innovative thinker with a strategic mindset. You know the playbook, but you’re not limited by it. 
    • Demonstrated expertise in Marketo or similar marketing automation platforms, with a deep understanding of campaign strategy, development, execution, and measurement.
    • Additional desirable experience includes Excel proficiency, basic HTML capabilities, copywriting skills, and managing 3rd party contractors, designers, writers, and agencies
$90,000 - $105,000 a year
On target ranges above include base plus a portion of variable compensation that is earned based on company and individual performance

The final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate’s geographical location.
