Job Description

At Egis, we’re offering an exciting Marketing & Communications Apprenticeship designed to help you develop the skills, experience and confidence needed to build a successful career. Through structured training and hands-on experience, you’ll gain valuable insights into the world of marketing and communications while being an integral part of our growing team.

About the role

As a Marketing & Communications Apprentice, you’ll assist in creating and distributing engaging content to promote the Egis brand. You’ll work across a variety of channels, including social media, internal communications, digital platforms and events, helping to shape our brand presence both inside and outside the company.

With a tailored training and development programme, you’ll gain practical experience while studying towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification, setting you up for long-term career success.

What you’ll be doing

Under the guidance of the Marketing & Communications Manager, you will:

  • Create engaging content – Write compelling copy, design visuals, and produce videos for internal and external campaigns.
  • Support internal and external events – Assist in planning, organising, and attending events, exhibitions and internal staff events.
  • Manage social media – Draft posts, create graphics, monitor engagement, and analyse performance for our UK LinkedIn account.
  • Contribute to multi-channel marketing campaigns – Help execute and monitor marketing initiatives to raise brand awareness.
  • Assist with administration – Keep marketing and communication calendars up to date, organise records and provide general support to the team.
  • Develop case studies – Help to write success stories showcasing Egis team members and clients.
  • Design visual assets – Use Canva and other tools to create marketing materials for digital and print.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a bright, motivated individual who is eager to learn and develop within our team. If you’re someone who loves writing, enjoys getting creative and is comfortable using digital tools, this role is perfect for you!

Essential skills & attributes

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills – a natural storyteller with an eye for detail.
  • A creative mindset with a keen interest in marketing and communication
  • A quick learner who enjoys picking up new tools and software
  • An analytical thinker who can gather and interpret data for reporting
  • Well-organised, proactive and able to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • A strong sense of initiative and enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced environment

Desirable skills (not essential but a bonus!)

  • Basic knowledge of graphic design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience managing personal or business social media accounts.
  • Prior experience in writing, editing, or digital content creation.

 

Qualifications

  • GCSEs: Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades 4-9 (A*-C), including Maths and English.
  • A-Levels: Minimum *A-B grades in relevant subjects such as English Literature, Business Studies, Graphic Design, Law, History, Psychology, or other related fields.
  • Ability to travel to events and meetings as required.
  • Willingness to work flexibly when needed.
