About the job/role

Reporting to the Director, Marketing & Communications, Global Partnerships & Licensing, the Marketing Communications Specialist will play an integral role in supporting and executing programmes across B2B social media, PR and advertising for WildBrain’s Global Partnerships & Licensing business pillar. Key responsibilities include support of the overall PR programme for the pillar and day-to-day management of B2B social media content for WildBrain’s leading licensing agency, WildBrain CPLG.

The ideal candidate will bring a collaborative and creative approach to working with the company’s global Marketing & Communications team and commercial business stakeholders to deliver strategic and impactful B2B programmes driving awareness and lead generation.

Job Description

  • Support Director, Marketing & Communications, Global Partnerships & Licensing on trade PR programmes including press releases, social media, editorial, media relations and speaking opportunities.
  • Work closely with UK based trade PR agency to support on delivering PR initiatives and materials.
  • Attend and assist in execution of key trade events including Brand Licensing Europe / Toy Fair London.
  • Attend and contribute to regular stakeholder meetings with marcom and commercial teams.  
  • Develop and execute organic and paid social media campaigns for WildBrain CPLG’s B2B channels aligned to company strategy - LinkedIn as the primary focus.
  • Manage and update monthly social content and PR calendars.
  • Draft social media copy and create visual assets using Canva - working with internal creative teams where required.
  • Produce regular PR and social media reports including results analysis and learnings.
  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders to proactively source information and assets for social media content creation.
  • Manage complex approval processes with key internal and external stakeholders.  

Qualifications

  • Passion for kids’ and family entertainment brands, with experience and knowledge in the licensing industry or related field an asset
  • Experience in marketing and communications with a focus on developing creative & compelling social media posts.
  • Training or experience in journalism an asset with strong talent in copywriting and editing.
  • Detail orientated, pro-active with a creative and collaborative perspective.
  • Understanding of the importance of tactful internal and external stakeholder relations.
  • Excellent organizational, planning and time-management skills.
  • Experience in social media tools such as Brandwatch, Hootsuite, Sprout, as well as creative tools including Canva.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
