The BBC Proms is the biggest classical music festival in the world. We run over 90 live events over 2 months in the summer at the Royal Albert Hall in London and venues across the UK. Nearly everything we do is broadcast across BBC Radio, TV and online. We are a creative, innovative festival that connects with audiences around the UK and across the globe.
You would be part of a dynamic team that looks after Marketing, Communications, Learning, Publications, Business and Live Events. You will build skills in your chosen area and everyone on the team has a chance to work at events. It’s a real team effort.
In any single week at the BBC Proms you could be working on events as wide-ranging as the First and Last Nights of the Proms, family events such as Doctor Who and CBeebies concerts, or a collaboration with a world-class visiting orchestra such as the Berlin Philharmonic.

This role also looks after the marketing of the BBC Singers. The BBC Singers has held a unique place at the heart of the UK’s choral scene since 1924, collaborating with many of the world’s leading composers, conductors and soloists. Awarded the Royal Philharmonic Society’s prestigious Ensemble Award in March 2024, this is an exciting time to be working with the group as they celebrate their 100 year anniversary in the 24/25 season.
The 2025 BBC Proms runs from 18 July – 13 September
In this role, you will work as part of the Marketing, Publicity, Audience Development and Learning team for the BBC Proms and BBC Singers. You will assist the Marketing Manager and Marketing Executive in implementing a marketing and publicity campaign which will increase the profile and audience reach whilst meeting ambitious ticket sales targets for Proms and Singers concerts.
In addition to your passion for live music and events, you will have demonstrable experience of working in a marketing environment preferably within the arts. An understanding of event marketing and experience of working at events is essential, as well as proven experience of producing marketing materials, implementing media plans and working on publicity campaigns with strict deadlines. Proven experience of updating and maintaining dynamic websites and other digital content including publishing to social platforms is required. In addition to all of the above, you will be a good team player and an effective and persuasive communicator. You will also have the ability to cope under pressure and be happy to work on a wide variety of tasks.
