TheΒ Digital Learning team within Informa ConnectΒ is responsible for creating and delivering high-value professional development learning online - either in collaboration with academic partners or independently. Multiple industries and multiple learning formats covered, with particular sectoral expertise in maritime, energy, law, security, transport and financial markets. Our team cover all aspects from marketing, sales, operations, platform, instructional design and production. Academic partners include Liverpool John Moores University, North Kent College, Queen Mary University, King's College, and Middlesex University.

Job Description

(12 month maternity cover)

As a Marketing Executive you will be a key player in the marketing team of Informa Connect – Digital Learning. Your primary responsibility is to drive the promotion of the Lloyd's Maritime Academy brand and courses, to generate leads, boost sales, and create a positive image. This role involves a blend of strategic planning, creativity, and analytical skills.

Role objectives and Key Actions:

1. Drive Customer (Student) Acquisition:

  • Objective: Attract new students to the business through targeted marketing efforts.
  • Key Actions: Implement data-driven email marketing campaigns, optimise digital advertising (e.g., PPC, social media ads), improve SEO to increase organic traffic, and develop lead generation strategies like webinars, free trials, and promotions.

2. Boost Sales and Revenue:

  • Objective: Increase sales and revenue through effective marketing strategies.
  • Key Actions: Design and execute promotional campaigns, optimise the sales funnel, provide special offers and discounts, and enhance the e-commerce experience to improve conversion rates.

3. Increase Brand Awareness:

  • Objective: Enhance the visibility and recognition of the brand within the target market.
  • Key Actions: Develop and execute a comprehensive branding campaign, leverage social media platforms, and utilise content marketing strategies to create buzz around the brand.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years’ working in a marketing
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Digital Marketing
  • Experience with lead generation marketing
  • BSc/MSc degree in business, marketing, journalism or related
  • Ability to set goals and execute under tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong copywriting skills in the English language
  • Effective project and time management
  • Hand-on experience with a range of print and digital marketing channels
