The Opportunity:

We are seeking a creative and highly driven marketing executive to join Clarion’s technology division.

The technology division is the home to two market-leading brands focused on payments, transport and eCommerce.  The candidate will have the opportunity to work across all these sectors, delivering multiple cross-channel marketing campaigns on time and within budget.

Supported by a Marketing Manager and Senior Marketing Executive, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering cross-channel marketing campaigns on conferences, exhibitions and digital products. They will have the opportunity to work closely with team members across departments including sales, content and operations, as well as working with the exhibitors, sponsors and partners.

This is a challenging but rewarding role and the chosen candidate will be supported heavily in their learning and development including training on the very latest Martech and customer data platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To help deliver the marketing campaigns on time and within budget
  • Create assets for use on social media and websites
  • Plan and deliver the social media schedule across all channels
  • Creating compelling copy that will make our target audience what to visit our events
  • Communicate to, maintain and build client relations with key partners, sponsors and exhibitors
  • Manage and maintain show website with regular updates
  • Help drive online traffic with web-related campaigns (SEO, Google AdWords, PPC)
  • Write compelling content and create unique content across all marketing communications
  • Write and produce e-shots, e-newsletters and all year-round communications
  • Manage and select data for emails
  • Develop new initiatives to extend the reach of the show
  • Brief and co-ordinate suppliers including registration companies, designers, web companies, PR, media and PPC agencies
  • Co-ordinate exhibitor co-marketing campaign and handle visitor enquiries

Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours:

  • Previous experience in a marketing role
  • Solid understanding of the core event marketing disciplines
  • Strong copywriting and proofing skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Highly proactive and organised
  • Creative eye and willing to input on how campaigns can be improved
  • Strong sense of personal accountability
  • A genuine team player that is collaborative in nature
  • Analytical and able to draw conclusions and make recommendations
  • Excellent interpersonal and strong communication skills
  • Experience of using CRM/marketing automation tools, website CMS and Canva is an advantage.
