This position is based out of our San Francisco office and open to a hybrid schedule once onboarding and orientation is complete.

Role Overview

The Marketing Manager role is an exciting opportunity to lead key initiatives that directly contribute to the firm's ongoing success. Responsibilities include developing marketing collateral, supporting business development efforts, and managing client relationships. Collaborating closely with the Director of Marketing & Communications, the ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who also enjoys hands-on involvement. They should be tech-savvy, adaptable, team-oriented, and passionate about showcasing our incredible staff and the work we accomplish together.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Director of Marketing & Communications to execute the firm’s Marketing Strategy
  • Help lead business development and marketing efforts, including:
    • Supporting the Director in business development meetings by tracking leads and providing regular, accurate reporting to drive strategic decision-making and overall business development efforts
    • Maintaining the firm's CRM (Vantagepoint) to manage data for current and prospective clients, projects, and other key metrics (e.g., project types, project leads, win-loss ratios)
    • Crafting and editing marketing materials that effectively convey the firm’s brand and portfolio of work, including collateral to support new business opportunities
    • Leading the creation and maintenance of comprehensive print and digital portfolios, booklets, and educational materials to support business development initiatives
    • Researching key target markets, consultants, and clients to identify networking and business development opportunities and arranging meetings with key decision-makers
    • Ensuring all marketing materials adhere to the firm’s established branding and messaging guidelines
    • Partner with the Director of Marketing & Communications to lead events and explore strategic partnerships that align with the firm’s marketing and business development goals
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project teams, to develop marketing collateral such as fact sheets and project descriptions
  • Assist the Director of Marketing & Communications and Communications Manager in photography and videography efforts, including image selection and managing the firm’s visual asset library

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, graphic design or other related field
  • Minimum of 5 to 8 years experience, preferably in a design-related industry
  • Must possess a thorough understanding of graphic design principles (emphasis, repetition, proportion, movement, white space, etc.)
  • Must possess a thorough understanding of Adobe Creative Suite and Google Drive, Slides, and Docs
  • Confident, self-motivated, and proactive, with proven ability to effectively take ownership, organize work tasks, and manage multiple deadlines through to completion
  • Extremely detail oriented with a proven track record of managing multiple, potentially conflicting, priorities through to completion
  • Ability to efficiently and flexibly move with the pace of the business when completing tasks and responsibilities; proven ability to problem solve and generate multiple possible solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to work collaboratively in both a remote and in-person team environment to meet deadlines and efficiently prioritize work while adapting to a variety of working styles
  • Must possess strong computer software skills with proficiency in Google Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to travel at least 10% of the time, with advanced notice, to assist with coordinating firm events

Compensation and Benefits

Walker Warner offers a competitive compensation package including fully paid health benefits for employees, profit sharing, employer 401(k) contribution, generous paid time-off and flexible spending accounts, plus so much more. 

The 2024 hiring base annual salary range for this position is $100,000 to $135,000. Any offer of compensation will be determined by a candidate’s education, skills, and experience as assessed during the interview process
