Marketing Manager, Events
Location: NYC, NY or Remote
Reporting To: Vice President, Event Marketing

We are looking for an experienced Event Marketing Manager to join the CyberRisk Alliance’s (CRA) Enterprise Marketing team, an entrepreneurial team focused on building and elevating a portfolio of cybersecurity conferences and events. This full-time position will report directly to the VP, Event Marketing and will collaborate with other teams across CRA, including content, editorial, enterprise marketing, event operations, audience, sales, customer success, and more.
This role will be instrumental in driving the event marketing team’s primary objective – to increase attendance at CRA conferences, as well as support CRA in engaging its core audience with strategic content marketing initiatives.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Event Marketing and other marketers to devise and implement integrated marketing strategies for custom events, crafting marketing briefs to outline key event details including value propositions, audience profiles, and attendee demographics.
  • Ensure timely completion of all marketing deliverables as per the prescribed event timeline.
  • Develop comprehensive event marketing strategies in collaboration with the marketing team, focusing on email promotion, registration page creation, website development, social media management, social advocacy platforms, automated communication, and telemarketing initiatives.
  • Coordinate the creation and execution of email campaigns to promote events, including crafting compelling copy, designing visually appealing templates, segmenting target audiences, and analyzing campaign performance.
  • Design and optimize registration pages for events, ensuring user-friendliness, clear calls-to-action, and seamless integration with registration platforms.
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of event websites, ensuring they reflect the event's brand identity, provide essential information, and facilitate registration and engagement.
  • Utilize social advocacy platforms to mobilize attendees, speakers, and partners to amplify event messaging and increase reach.
  • Implement automated communication workflows to streamline event promotion,
  • registration confirmation, reminders, and post-event follow-ups, leveraging marketing automation tools.
  • Generate and distribute discount codes to incentivize registration and drive attendance, tracking usage, effectiveness and CPA.
  • Utilize basic design skills in Canva or similar tools to create promotional materials, including social media graphics, event banners, and email visuals.
  • Develop and execute telemarketing campaigns to reach out to potential attendees, nurture leads, and drive registration, maintaining a professional and persuasive approach
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in event marketing, driving both attendance and sponsorship leads.
  • Proficiency in marketing automation platforms and email marketing tools, Marketo preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to craft compelling messaging and engage with diverse audiences.
  • Familiarity with basic graphic design tools, Canva preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Prior experience in event registration platforms is a plus, Swoogo is preferred.
  • Passion for events and a commitment to delivering exceptional attendee experiences.
  • Willingness to travel for events as required, up to 15% of the time.
  • Capacity to handle multiple tasks concurrently and work under stringent deadlines, particularly during peak event seasons.
  • Familiarity with or a strong interest in learning about the information security industry.
  • Demonstrated interest or experience in leveraging AI technologies to drive innovation, efficiency, and value creation.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and stay updated on industry trends and advancements in AI technology

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York City, CRA is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to New York City and takes into account numerous factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to a candidates' qualifications, skills, competencies, experience and location.  A reasonable estimate of the current range is $70,000 to $75,000, which does not include other compensation benefits package.
