Bloomsbury is seeking a spring Marketing and Publicity Intern for its Special Interest team. The intern will assist our small team in the publication and promotion of specialty nonfiction books in popular science, sports & fitness, military history, wildlife, and crafting, as well as the newly acquired Head of Zeus. Please note that interns will not be working with Sarah J. Maas titles nor YA/Children’s books. Primary Responsibilities
Since we are a small team, interns play an integral role in our day-to-day operations. Intern projects reflect the diverse aspects of trade publishing, including:
Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, able to manage their own time, and highly organized. Candidates must have a demonstrably strong interest in publishing. Interns will have the opportunity to attend programming designed to introduce them to the various departments within Bloomsbury, provide them with networking opportunities, and prepare them for the job application process.

Duration
This internship will begin April 14, 2025, and run for 3 months, with the possibility for an extension. We require a commitment of up to 20 hours per week.
Scheduling is flexible, but work should occur during our core business hours: Monday through Thursday 10 AM – 4:00 PM EST.

Location
Candidates must reside in commutable distance to our NY Headquarters located in Midtown Manhattan, and be able to work a hybrid schedule of at least 2 days in the office.

Compensation
This position pays $18.00/hour, and candidates may wish to arrange for college credit.
