The Role:

Global Private Wealth Marketing is responsible for driving awareness of the Blue Owl brand and product offerings with financial advisors and high-net worth clients, generating leads for sales to deepen market share and grow adoption of Blue Owl strategies, and supporting fundraising initiatives globally. We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Marketing Lead for Alternative Credit Products to develop and execute compelling messaging, positioning, and content for one of Blue Owl Private wealth’s flagship investment strategies. This role will focus on driving a client-centric, commercially impactful content for the Alternative credit product offering(s) within the private wealth segment. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of credit markets, strong storytelling skills, and the ability to translate complex financial products into clear, compelling, and actionable client communications.

Key Responsibilities:

Messaging and Positioning

  • Develop clear, differentiated, and client-centric messaging for the alternative credit product suite.

  • Define the unique value proposition for private wealth clients, aligning it with the broader business strategy.

  • Align marketing initiatives with client needs, focusing on delivering relevant and impactful solutions to private wealth investors.

  • Drive awareness and adoption of the alternative credit product offering by articulating its benefits in client-centric terms.

  • Ensure consistency of messaging across all channels and touchpoints.

Content Creation

  • Create high-quality content, including product brochures, thought leadership, white papers, sales presentations, and digital assets, tailored to the private wealth audience.

  • Collaborate with Wealth product strategists, investment teams and subject matter experts to translate complex strategies into digestible and engaging materials.

  • Develop stories and narratives that highlight the role of alternative credit in diversified investment portfolios.

Go-to-market Strategy and Execution

  • Partner to develop marketing campaigns to support product launches and ongoing promotion in the market.

  • Collaborate with sales and distribution teams to develop tools and resources that enhance client engagement and advisor support.

  • Leverage data and insights to optimize content pipeline.

Client Experience – Communications & Performance/Operational Updates

  • Responsible for product performance updates and material management for evergreen offering.

  • Responsible for quarterbacking quarterly and bi-annual shareholder letters and webcasts featuring product strategies and portfolio managers.

  • Responsible for process and execution of material dissemination across channels, partners, regions for timely updates and insights.

  • Responsible for partnering with product strategy, diligence and operations to ensure seamless investor experience for private wealth clients in alternative credit strategies.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner closely with internal teams, including investment management, product development, compliance, and distribution, to ensure alignment and successful execution.

  • Partner closely with Wealth marketing function and channel leads to align content pipelines,

  • Serve as the primary marketing liaison for alternative credit initiatives, ensuring integration with broader firm-wide marketing efforts.

Market and Competitive Analysis

  • Monitor market trends, competitive positioning, and client preferences to inform messaging and content development.

  • Stay informed on regulatory changes and industry best practices to ensure compliance and relevance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, finance, or a related field. MBA or CFA designation is a plus.

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of marketing experience within financial services required, with a focus on investment products or alternative asset classes preferred

  • Strong knowledge of credit markets, private wealth, and the needs of high-net-worth clients.

  • Proven ability to craft compelling, client-centric messaging and content.

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts.

  • Expertise in developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns.

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Proficiency in marketing tools, CRM systems, and data analytics.

  • Extremely effective oral and written communicator   

  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with a collaborative mindset.

  • Self-starter, comfortable in fast-paced environment and driving strategy and process with whitespace

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)

It is expected that the base annual salary range for this New York City-based position will be $175,000 to $200,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
