This fall Rize is powering over 550 academic programs for about 100 colleges in our network that are seeking innovative ways to grow enrollment, improve student outcomes, and enhance financial sustainability for their institution. We have built an incredible team to fuel our solutions and are looking for the next team player who will be excited and motivated by the high standard of excellence that we strive to maintain while making a better, more transparent educational system more accessible to hundreds of thousands of students.
We are looking for someone passionate about digging into market trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights to understand the value and positioning of our programs in the market, who will serve as a trusted partner company-wide sharing those insights.
Reporting to the Head of B2B Marketing, your strategic vision, deep market understanding, and exceptional leadership skills will inform the positioning, messaging, and go-to-market plans for our programs, maximizing their impact and driving revenue growth.
This includes creating positioning and messaging guides, spearheading GTM programs with a heavy test-and-learn mentality, developing engaging content to support these initiatives, and building sales enablement materials to improve our close rate.
This role will entail extensive content writing to support these activities, as well as exceptional interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.
Conduct market research to understand trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs by persona to develop differentiated positioning and messaging
Create and implement GTM strategies with a strong focus on winning mindshare to increase awareness (e.g. website traffic, webinar registrations, blog views, newsletter subscribers) and demand (leads generated).
Create and share customer success and product stories through case studies, webinars and blogs; take ownership of results and audience engagement.
Develop value-driving sales enablement assets for different audience personas and analyze their effectiveness in the field
Review how we sell each sprint (by reviewing sales calls, Salesforce data and interviewing our sales team) to identify opportunities for our team to build better enablement and sales assets
Be a product evangelist -- internally and externally, to improve cross-functional processes and product knowledge across the broader team, maintaining a tight feedback loop between academic product, sales, and marketing
3-5 years of experience in product, content, or omnichannel marketing
Passion for learning new products and industries and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and get scrappy
Proven track record of developing and executing successful multi-channel go to market strategies, resulting in significant revenue growth
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
Experience writing both short and long form content to support marketing initiatives
Strong bias for action, experimentation, measurement, and optimization — you have a plan to ensure success, but you’re not afraid to fail fast
A strong understanding of, and empathy for the challenges faced by small colleges
Ability to thrive in ambiguity, be able to see the big picture and also execute on a tactical level in a fast-paced start-up environment
