Job Description

The Sales Enablement Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing marketing activities and materials to support our practitioners in converting leads. This role involves understanding the sales process once we have generated a lead, identifying the opportunities for marketing activity and pitch materials to best support that process for various target audiences and then creating compelling marketing/pitch materials and nurture activity to guide those leads through the sales funnel and drive business growth. This role requires a hands-on marketer with an ability to partner with practitioners to understand the sales process and the strategic and writing skills to generate content that can be used by practitioners to drive improved rates of conversion

Key Responsibilities

  • Target Audience Insight: Use insight from practitioners and the market to understand the key needs of prospects in different target audience groups, and define the messaging needed to convert leads into clients (consistent with our brand and GTM strategies and messaging) – particularly via the development of best in clash pitch pack materials that help to improve our conversion rates.
  • Content Creation: Develop and maintain a comprehensive, modular library of pitch pack materials, case studies and other sales collateral published to practitioners via the Seismic platform.  Ensure the materials support our brand and marketing strategies, are fully compliant and present our propositions and investment performance data in the best possible way to improve conversion of prospects.
  • Content Adoption and Development: Work with the front office to drive adoption of the pitch pack, case studies and sales collateral materials by practitioners, ensuring the materials are welcomed and well understood by our practitioners and business development teams.  Use feedback from practitioners, and analytical insights from the Seismic platform and elsewhere to continually improve the materials and their impact on our commercial growth objectives.
  • Lead Nurturing Develop marketing strategies to nurture leads through the sales funnel, partnering with our new business team and Head of Trading Performance to understand where conversion could be improved and develop marketing plans and materials to support that improved conversion.
  • Bespoke Pitch Materials Develop a process to support practitioners with bespoke pitch materials for higher value opportunities, partnering with the Business Development team to bring learnings from previous successful pitches into the development of those materials.
  • Performance Metrics: Develop and track KPIs for the adoption of our pitch pack materials and sales collateral and their impact on prospect conversion as well as for lead nurturing marketing initiatives.

Qualifications

Key Skills

  • Proven experience in prospect marketing and sales conversion marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics, customer behaviour, and sales process methodologies
  • Ability to write compelling and on brand pitch pack and sales collateral content (with the support of a designer), and present and organise them for easy access by the front office.
  • Experience in working with a technology platform like Seismic would be valuable – an ability to manage our materials on this platform will be essential.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, with an appetite for partnership across the marketing team and with our front office and business development teams.
  • Proficiency in analysing quantitative and qualitative data to help optimise sales materials and measure our activities’ contribution to commercial goals.
  • A forward-thinking mindset and a can-do attitude to explore innovative ways to enhance sales effectiveness, whether through technology adoption, content creation etc.
  • Time Management and productivity: Balancing multiple responsibilities, prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines is vital for success.
  • Evidence of curiosity and expertise about marketing and sales enablement (eg an active LinkedIn profile showing engagement with this kind of content) would help a lot.
