Key Responsibilities of the Senior Business Development Director:

  • Identify and cultivate relationships with potential clients and strategic partners, expanding the company’s network of contacts.
  • Lead market research efforts to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and potential areas for growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and operations, to develop compelling proposals and presentations for potential clients.
  • Generate and qualify leads, managing the sales pipeline effectively and ensuring timely follow-up on opportunities.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals while ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the company.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet or exceed targets.
  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences, enhancing brand visibility and expanding the company’s reach in the marketplace.

Qualifications of the Senior Business Development Director:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in business development, sales, or related fields, with a proven track record of achieving significant revenue growth.
  • Strong network and relationships within the industry, with a deep understanding of market dynamics and customer needs.
  • Experience developing successful partnerships and alliances.
  • Exceptional negotiation and closing skills, with the ability to influence at various organizational levels.
