Nelson Bostock is looking for an ambitious Senior Content Manager to join an established B2B content team, working on high-profile client accounts.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for B2B technology. They will have the ability to combine client messaging priorities with audience requirements and insight to ideate and deliver exceptional storytelling across a variety of channels and content formats. They will produce sparkling copy and stand-out content ideas for comms, editorial and lead generation, and will edit the work of junior members of staff to exceed the expectations of our most demanding clients.

Essential Duties

  • Writing original copy about in-depth B2B topics – particularly B2B technology – that grabs the attention of the target audience and communicates credibility and understanding
  • Editing other writers’ copy to meet Tone of Voice guidelines, client expectations and your own meticulous standards
  • Working with and briefing Design and Motion teams to bring your content ideas to life through multimedia executions
  • Researching new subjects to gain understanding quickly and accurately
  • Preparing for and interviewing subject matter experts
  • Providing feedback and guidance to junior writers to hone their skills and ways of working
  • Translating technical information and complex ideas into plain English
  • Owning writing projects from brief to final draft
  • Taking briefs and presenting work to clients
  • Taking and implementing feedback from clients
  • Coming up with creative concepts for campaigns and content, working with conceptual designers
  • Developing your knowledge of our clients’ businesses, brands, industry and competition
  • Content development to create engaging medium and long-form content assets that connect with technology and B2B audiences and communicate specific marketing messages. E.g. thought leadership articles, whitepapers, ebooks, blogs and brochures
  • Short-form copywriting that captures attention and incites action e.g. web copy, social posts, emails, advertising copy, infographics and video scripts
  • Multimedia campaigns with content for every stage of the buyer journey
  • Inputting into content strategies and content programmes with members of the team
  • An editorial content specialist with deep experience in B2B content development and delivery
  • Demonstrable experience of working to brand guidelines and different tones of voice and editing copy to meet brand requirements
  • Demonstrable managerial experience, with the ability to provide mentorship and deliver succinct and actionable feedback
  • Good knowledge of MS Office applications, in particular MS Word
  • Experience of using AI tools to improve your own ways of working and the quality of your output
  • Experience of SEO tools such as SEMrush desirable
  • Knowledge appreciation of the B2B space from a marketing perspective
  • Knowledge and experience of working with IT and technology brands
  • Excellent understanding of content marketing and knowing how to write effectively for different purposes across the customer journey
  • Creative copywriting skills
  • Impeccable long copy skills
  • Expert familiarity with content marketing principles and a good understanding of the digital marketing intersections with content, for instance, SEO and paid media.
