About Abatable

Abatable’s mission is to enable corporate climate action by building the infrastructure for businesses and investors to navigate, access and support credible climate solutions delivering long-lasting positive environmental and social impact. The team is achieving this by backing innovative, high-quality carbon projects alongside leveraging a product-led approach to scaleable solutions.

Abatable was founded in July 2021 and we are backed by experienced investors such as Global Founders Capital, Blue Bear Capital, Y Combinator (S21) and Azora.

We are a diverse team working in a hybrid setup and across two cities - London and Amsterdam. We put our values and our mission front and centre with everything we do, if you want to know more, read about our team and values on our About us page.

About the role

As a Senior Product Marketing Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping the go-to-market strategy, positioning, and messaging of our suite of climate tech products. You will drive collaboration across the product, sales, and marketing teams, to craft compelling stories that communicate the value of our products to our target audiences.

You’ll be responsible for driving product launches, developing thought leadership, and supporting our growth and product strategy with a focus on customer needs and market trends in the climate tech space.

Why we think you’ll want to join us
  • A mission you can be proud of: We are in the decade of climate action. More than ever we need the best and brightest minds of our generation finding solutions to climate change.
  • Build the product marketing function: As our first PMM you will have the opportunity to build out the function and create the frameworks we use to research our customers and promote our products, as well as influence the product roadmap and our product pricing
  • Early stage fun: Some of our products have product market fit, others are still on that messy and exciting journey. By joining early you’ll be key to understanding our customers and developing & marketing the products that will have the highest possible impact on climate, people and nature.
  • Well funded: We taken over $16.6M funding from the likes of Global Founders Capital, Blue Bear Capital and Y Combinator (S21) and have a solid multi-year runway.
  • Transparent and high integrity culture: From sharing salaries in job specs and giving everyone in the company visibility of our financial position (including burn rate and runway), to informing a competitor when they accidentally leaked some of their IP. Our values guide our behaviour.

What you’ll be doing
  • Lead the development and execution of go-to-market strategies of new products and features ensuring product-market fit
  • Own the market positioning and creative storytelling of our products, so that we effectively communicate the value proposition of our products across all marketing channels
  • Become an expert in our market: analyse market trends, monitor the competitor landscape, and identify opportunities for us to differentiate.
  • Define, size and prioritise customer segments, run win/loss analysis programs, collect customer case studies, and run other insights gathering activities to help us best serve our customer’s needs.
  • Own the customer acquisition and retention activities and collaborate with the marketing and product team to create campaigns and content to drive lead generation and nurturing
  • Use data to develop and optimise product-led growth techniques such as free trial offerings, freemium models, landing pages, referral programs and free tools
  • Partner with the product team to influence the product strategy and roadmap based on your insights on the market and customers
  • Work closely with the sales team to develop and deliver effective sales enablement, training and marketing collateral such as battle cards, case studies, white papers and others
  • Actively foster an inclusive and diverse team environment, promoting a sense of belonging and creating opportunities for the cross-functional team to contribute and be heard

Who we’re looking for
  • Product marketer with 7+ years of experience and several major product launches under their belt, including developing a go-to-market strategy
  • Proven track record of growing software products, with at least one experience in a B2B context
  • Excellent stakeholder management and ability to work cross-functionally, connect the dots between teams and deliver complex projects seamlessly
  • A brilliant storyteller who can empathise with a user’s problem, articulate the solution clearly and create compelling value propositions
  • Strong analytical and research skills - excited by and proficient at numerical marketing, as well as a love for using data to generate actionable user insights
  • Strong writing, communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex or technical content in a concise and accessible way
  • Positive attitude, able to work under changing market environment and high level of ambiguity
  • Background in sustainability or climate tech is beneficial but not required
