Position Summary
Product Marketing Managers communicate Harness business value both internally and externally to position Harness as the leading AI-native Software Delivery Platform. The team is responsible for product positioning, value messaging, and go-to-market strategy to support sales and outbound messaging with analysts, press, and prospects. Product Marketing also facilitates market feedback as a key input into the Harness product roadmap.
This role will partner closely with the Product Management, Marketing, and Sales teams. You will work to understand the target audience, key issues they are experiencing, our unique value proposition, and competitive differentiators related to specific product modules. You will use this knowledge to develop GTM strategies and tactics, messaging, content, and training, as well as to influence product design decisions and timelines.We are seeking a Product Marketer who has been a technologist in the past. The ideal candidate will have been a developer, DevOps engineer, SRE or have held some other relevant technology position at some point.
About the role
- Create and maintain assets including but not limited to solution briefs, videos, presentations, blogs, email copy, and campaign copy
- Work collaboratively with product management, corporate marketing, and sales enablement to deliver assets, content, and training
- Perform funnel analysis, identify optimization opportunities, and take appropriate action with a cross-organizational team
- Speak and demo at webinars, virtual summits, and in-person in event
- Support sales teams directly with product and persona knowledge
- Identify and write customer success stories
- Maintain competitive intelligence on the area(s) of product you support
- Actively look for ways to help Harness achieve its product marketing goal
About you
- 7+ years of experience as a technical product marketer OR relevant work experience as a product manager, solutions engineer, or solutions architect
- Technical knowledge related to the software delivery lifecycle
- Demonstrable knowledge in DevOps product markets
- Understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code concepts and market dynamics
- Understanding of software artifact repository/registry concepts and market dynamics
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders
- Creativity to come up with unique concepts for engaging audiences
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is required for Harness to be successful

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $182,000 - $218,000 annually. Salary is determined by a combination of factors including location, level, relevant experience, and skills. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. The compensation package for this position also includes a commission/variable component, which is based on performance, plus equity, and benefits.
