We are keen to speak with a Senior Project Manager to join an international banking client of ours, based in the City of London. This is an initial 6-12 month contract, with the expectation of an extension.

You will be responsible for executing a major market rationalisation initiative within the Fund Services division of a global financial institution. This role will focus on driving process improvements, supporting operating model transformations, and managing strategic projects at a senior level.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a key role in delivering operational improvements, managing high-impact projects, and supporting the execution of strategic initiatives aimed at optimising business processes and rationalising the operating model.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead specific workstreams within a broader market rationalisation program, focusing on process improvement, business transformation, and operational efficiency.
  • Manage project deliverables from initiation through to completion, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and business needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Technology, HR, Risk, Compliance, Legal) to ensure seamless project delivery and alignment with organisational goals.
  • Provide regular reporting to senior management and stakeholders, tracking project progress, KPIs, and milestones.
  • Apply agile methodologies, data analysis, and process mapping techniques to deliver meaningful improvements and meet business objectives.
  • Support change management efforts and guide teams through operational transitions, ensuring business continuity and minimal disruption.

  • 8+ years of experience managing complex projects, with a focus on operating model transformations and process improvements.
  • Strong project management skills with experience in driving business transformation using Agile, Lean, or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and collaborate with senior leadership and various business units.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering business value.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualisation tools, with a track record of delivering high-quality presentations to executives.
  • Experience in financial services or consulting, with a strong understanding of regulatory and operational frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and drive change at all levels of the organisation.
  • Passionate about process improvement and optimising operational efficiency.
  • Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile methodologies is highly desirable.
