Senior Social Media Manager

Tarte Cosmetics is seeking a strategic and innovative Senior Social Media Manager to lead our organic social media strategy and execution. This role will be responsible for developing high-impact social campaigns, driving engagement, and growing brand awareness across all social platforms. The ideal candidate is a creative visionary with a deep understanding of social trends, analytics, and content performance. Reporting to the VP of Brand Marketing, the Senior Social Media Manager will oversee the day-to-day management of social platforms, lead a team, and collaborate cross-functionally to execute best-in-class digital storytelling.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of Tarte’s social media strategy to drive engagement, brand love, and business growth across all organic platforms
  • Oversee the planning, creation, and execution of the weekly and monthly social content calendar, ensuring alignment with brand objectives and product launches
  • Drive the content strategy, partnering with the creative team, internal content creators, and video production to develop compelling, high-performing social-first content
  • Own social reporting and analytics, identifying key insights, monitoring performance, and optimizing strategy based on data-driven decision-making
  • Lead social listening and trend forecasting to ensure Tarte remains at the forefront of digital innovation
  • Develop and implement a robust influencer and creator collaboration strategy, working closely with the Influencer Marketing team to maximize brand exposure and authenticity
  • Brand partnerships: proactively outreach for social partnerships and collaborations with brands,
  • Manage and mentor the Social Media Coordinators, overseeing posting schedules, content approvals, and best practices for engagement
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams (Digital Marketing, eCommerce, Retail Marketing, and Product Development) to ensure seamless integration of social initiatives
  • Spearhead platform expansion strategies, identifying new channels and engagement opportunities to grow Tarte’s digital footprint
  • Ensure brand voice and messaging remain consistent and resonate with our target audience across all platforms
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, platform updates, and competitive insights to continuously elevate Tarte’s social media presence

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in social media marketing, preferably in beauty, fashion, or lifestyle industries
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful social campaigns that drive engagement, community growth, and brand awareness
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop junior team members
  • Deep understanding of social media analytics, platform algorithms, and content performance metrics
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and align social strategies with broader business goals
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and copywriting skills
  • Experience with content creation, video editing, and emerging social platforms
  • Passion for beauty, digital marketing, and the ever-evolving social landscape
