The American Hospital Association (AHA) is a national organization that represents and serves all types of hospitals, health care networks, and their patients and communities. The AHA has two main offices, located in Washington, D.C. and Chicago. We are currently seeking a Specialist, Marketing for our Chicago office. This position is a hybrid role (three days in the office, two days working remote).
Starting base salary = $59,000- $74,000- $89,000 (commensurate with related experience). The AHA is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The Specialist, Marketing is responsible for assisting with marketing plans for assigned professional membership groups (PMG). Implements and coordinates marketing activities that includes researching targeted customer segments and completing associated messaging. Implements campaigns targeting specific market segments or focusing on specific products or product lines. Executes marketing campaign strategies. Deploys broad omni-channel engagement, including but not limited to print, e-mail, direct mail, digital newsletters, web, mobile, video, and social media. Prepares reports supporting marketing activities.
Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following:
• Assists with the development of multi-channel integrated marketing plans meant to promote assigned PMGs and its products and services. Analyzes and evaluates appropriate marketing channels to support plans.
• Ensures campaigns target specific market segments or focus on specific products or product lines.
• Implements targeted marketing campaigns (print, online, email, social media, etc.) with measurable objectives for assigned program areas. Prepares print, online, and other forms of advertisement. Assists with special events or promotions.
• Collects, monitors, analyzes, benchmarks and reports on data related to marketing activities. Performs research and makes recommendations for improvements.
• Keeps abreast of best practices, trends, tools and techniques related to marketing.
• Updates assigned websites and social media accounts. Writes marketing copy and distributes promotional collateral for assigned program areas.
• Adheres to PMG brand standards and guidelines, as well as contributes to brand development, refinement and maintains brand standards and prepares message calendars.
