Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager who is a master storyteller and puts the customer at the heart of all we do. This role will be pivotal in helping us build out new audience-focused propositions and strategies to take our product offering to market. 

Reporting into the Product Marketing Director for Visa Direct, this role sits at the heart of our Go-to-Market (GTM) function – bringing together marketing, product, strategy and sales. We need someone who is comfortable taking the lead to create strategies and plans for the Manage and Experience part of our product portfolio, which covers everything from our onboarding to API connectivity and platform management tools to transaction security.  

You’ll need to get under the skin of our product, strategy, and technology, and understand how we fit within the wider Visa organization. This will help you build out appropriate product marketing strategies, go-to-market approaches, and content. 

In this role, you will be the glue that binds our product strategy to the tactics needed to drive success in sales and marketing, ultimately delivering data-driven results. You must be an evangelist of Visa Direct to our customers and you will play an integral role in the lifecycle of Visa Direct.  

Essential Functions

  • Develop deep insights into our client segments, industries, and their respective needs through research, internal subject matter experts, and customer interactions. Connect how our product solutions can help them meet their goals, identify where we need to continue to develop and innovate, and assess how we stack up against the competition.  

  • Establish yourself as a key strategic partner to the product organization, intimately familiar with their products and development priorities, and able to help drive success of their solutions in the market. Ensure there is a clear focus on product adoption across the business monitoring KPIs and performance metrics 

  • Work cross-functionally with product, marketing, brand, comms, and strategy to define and develop comprehensive go-to-market plans for our products and services.  

  • Develop messaging and positioning that effectively communicates the value and differentiation of our products to diverse audiences, from C-suite decision-makers to business development teams down to technical audiences 

  • Identify, develop, and manage the creation of a variety of content types including written, video, presentations, etc. as needed to fuel sales and marketing motions. 

  • Collaborate across integrated marketing, regional field marketing, and our sales development representative team to tell the right story to the right audience at the right time to drive demand for Visa Direct 

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)


Preferred Qualifications

  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
  • 8+ years progressively responsible business experience with emphasis on B2B Product Marketing or Product Management
  • An ability to deeply understand our evolving product suite and how it addresses the strategic needs of our customers, their industries, and their end user base
  • Experience crafting positioning, messaging and content that convey the value of products to our target segments and personas
  • Proven success at increasing product adoption and driving improved customer

  • Demonstrated track record of scoping, managing, and delivery research that informs GTM strategy, marketing and sales content, and product development
  • Strong strategic thinker with an ability to thrive under pressure, navigate ambiguity, and remain adaptable
  • Excellent verbal and written communicator capable of working with multiple
  • stakeholders, across a variety of teams, and geographies
  • Experience with strategic planning, budgeting, data analysis, and marketing agency management
  • Challenge the status quo, discover things others overlook, and always work to find the right way forward for our clients and our business
  • MBA Degree
  • Experience in tech, payments, or fintech
  • Mentoring or management experience to help support, mentor and coach
  • other members of the product marketing team

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 149,900.00 to 195,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
