Nature and Scope
DASNY is New York State’s capital development authority and provides financing and construction services to public and private universities, not-for-profit healthcare facilities, and other institutions that serve the public good. DASNY is composed of five major divisions: Construction, Counsel’s Office, Executive Direction, Finance, and Public Finance & Portfolio Monitoring.
The Student Intern is a part of the Executive Direction Division. The Student Intern is responsible for internal and external corporate communications and marketing efforts, responding to media and public requests, producing publications, assisting with DASNY events, preparing advertisements and marketing materials, helping to produce DASNY’s annual report, monthly e-newsletter, President’s messages, and employee profiles. The Student Intern - Executive Direction also assists with the content for the DASNY website and intranet, in collaboration with Information Services, and is responsible for assisting in building and maintaining DASNY’s social media presence, while adhering to DASNY’s Social Media Policy.
Primary Purpose
Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Brand Development and Strategic Initiatives, the Student Intern- Executive Direction will play a key role in supporting DASNY’s communications and marketing efforts through videography, video editing, and multimedia content creation. This intern will assist in developing engaging video content for social media, website, employee engagement initiatives, and external marketing efforts. Additionally, the intern will gain hands-on experience in media outreach, event coverage, and digital content strategy. Student interns may also participate in educational opportunities designed to provide insights into DASNY’s business operations and other key industry topics

Minimum Qualifications
Must be a full-time matriculated undergraduate (sophomore level or above), or first year graduate student pursuing a degree in Videography, Film, Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, Graphic Design, Photography, Journalism, Public Affairs, Public Relations, or a related field.
