We’re looking for a strategic and results-driven Account Director to lead and grow a portfolio of key client accounts. In this role, you’ll be responsible for building strong client relationships, driving performance, and identifying opportunities for growth. Acting as a trusted advisor, you’ll collaborate with internal teams to deliver exceptional service and ensure our clients achieve their goals. As an experienced Account Director, you will take ownership of our premium accounts and drive their ongoing success. In this role, you will serve as the main point of contact for high-value clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery, strategic growth, and long-lasting relationships. You will be a proactive problem-solver with a strong marketing background, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to identify and capitalise on opportunities for client growth.

  • Strong experience in managing and nurturing premium-level accounts to ensure long-term success.
Role Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy

  • Create and implement tailored, high-performing marketing strategies for premium accounts, ensuring they align with client goals and deliver measurable results.

Client Communication

  • Own and nurture all client communications, acting as a trusted advisor to maintain strong, high-quality relationships and ensuring all touchpoints are handled with professionalism and clarity.

Client Deliverables:

  • Conduct a minimum of two calls per month with each client.
  • Hold quarterly strategy meetings with designated strategy-focused clients.
  • Facilitate quarterly business reviews for non-strategy clients, covering performance analysis, end-of-year reviews, and forecasts.
  • Arrange face-to-face meetings for each client at least twice a year.
  • Perform an annual website review for all clients to identify growth opportunities.
  • Deliver a minimum of one monthly value-add item to each client, such as industry insights provided by the marketing/brand team.

Data-Driven Insights

  • Continuously monitor client performance metrics, analysing data to identify trends and opportunities, and taking proactive steps to optimize outcomes.

Sales and Growth Opportunities

  • Actively identify opportunities to expand client engagement through additional services, developing and executing strategic upsell plans to foster account growth.

Proactive Problem Solving

  • Anticipate potential challenges or issues, addressing them promptly and effectively while handling difficult conversations with clients confidently and constructively.

Team Support and Mentorship

  • Share expertise and guidance with junior team members, helping them develop their skills and succeed in supporting client accounts.

Goal Alignment and Strategy Refresh

  • Regularly engage with clients to revisit and align on their goals and objectives, ensuring strategies remain relevant and effective over time.

Operational Excellence

  • Maintain full visibility into client communications and deliverables, ensuring all meetings are followed up with detailed notes, clear action items, and measurable outcomes.

Account Accuracy

  • Oversee the accuracy of invoicing and ensure all client accounts are kept up-to-date, resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain regular communication with stakeholders at all levels, including conducting quarterly updates with senior stakeholders to ensure alignment and satisfaction.

Personal Development

  • Proactively identify personal development needs, collaborate to set goals, and take actionable steps to achieve them.
  • A proven track record in creating and delivering effective marketing strategies tailored to large, high-value accounts.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a commitment to maintaining clarity and professionalism across all client interactions.
  • Strong analytical abilities to interpret performance data and proactively recommend improvements to enhance results.
  • Demonstrated expertise in identifying upselling opportunities and successfully executing strategies to drive client growth.
  • Skilled in navigating challenging client situations and facilitating constructive, solution-focused conversations.
  • Deep understanding of client goals and objectives, with a focus on aligning strategies through consistent engagement and communication.
  • Experience in managing account operations, including invoicing accuracy and maintaining client records.
