Clear Junction is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to identify new opportunities, drive client acquisition, and support business growth in the global payments market. You will be responsible for maximising outbound activity and owning the full end-to-end sales process from prospecting through to onboarding, principally focused on Large & Enterprise opportunities.

What You’ll Do

Sales & Business Growth

  • Lead from the front—own your role and exceed sales targets.
  • Implement a strategic sales plan to expand Clear Junction’s customer base.
  • Monitor sales performance against agreed KPIs.
  • Prospect new opportunities and drive pipeline growth.
  • Identify emerging markets and shifts in the competitive landscape.

Lead Generation & Client Engagement

  • Research and analyse market segments, verticals, and geographies.
  • Generate leads via LinkedIn, industry websites, marketing campaigns, and networking.
  • Qualify leads into opportunities and manage the sales pipeline.
  • Present Clear Junction’s products and solutions to potential clients.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key prospects.

Sales Process & Negotiation

  • Negotiate tariffs and secure client acceptance of offers.
  • Draft and finalise contracts, ensuring all necessary approvals.
  • Oversee client onboarding and facilitate technical integration.
  • Act as an intermediary between clients and the Risk & Compliance team.

Marketing & Reporting

  • Work closely with the Marketing & Content team to create targeted sales campaigns.
  • Present sales reports and forecasts to the Sales & Marketing Director and Head of Sales.

Risk & Compliance

  • Act as a first line of defence on AML, financial crime, and sanctions risks.
  • Ensure CRM records are accurate and up to date in line with compliance requirements.

Essential

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management within the payments, fintech, or financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of the global payments landscape, including industry trends, competitors, and regulatory considerations.
  • Ability to generate and qualify leads, build pipelines, and convert prospects into clients.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in negotiating contracts, pricing, and client agreements.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience in implementing and executing sales strategies to drive business growth.
  • Track record of exceeding sales targets and working to KPIs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present solutions effectively to clients and senior management.
  • Comfortable working with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Product, Risk, and Compliance.
  • Experience using CRM systems (e.g., SuiteCRM) to manage leads, sales pipelines, and reporting.
  • Understanding of AML, financial crime, and regulatory compliance in financial services.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
