Commercial Manager - Full Time - GL1 Leisure Centre

From Swimming lessons, to walking football and everything in-between we are driven to provide fun and welcoming sessions to support the whole community to be active, both within our leisure centres and in the local community.

We are looking for a Commercial Manager to join our team at GL1 Leisure Centre. In this role you will be continually reviewing commerciality, sales and actively creating new business across the Gloucester contract including gym memberships, learn to swim programs, goods for retail and our food & beverage facilities. This role also includes Duty Manager duties and being on the rota to assist the team on a daily basis, you will ensure the best levels of service are achieved by our teams, for our customers through offering a friendly, clean and safe facilities at all times.

We are looking for a dynamic individual to join the team, to seek out new events that will directly feed into the marketing strategy and objectives for our Centre.

Previous Sales Team Management would be an advantage and evidence of how you are currently maximising sales conversion, and effectively managing sales systems to ensure target is achieved would be great to hear.

Hours: 37 hours a week - Monday to Sunday (Rota basis)

• Experience of managing a varied workload.
• Staff management experience.
• The skill to establish key relationships swiftly and appropriately.
• IT skills to include Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Well developed interpersonal skills, able to negotiate and persuade people both internally and externally.
• Team orientated approach, able to work across organization boundaries and demonstrate interest and be supportive of the work of colleagues.
• Mobility to travel across sites.
• Outgoing personality with a ‘can do’ attitude.
• Flexible and adaptable (working a variety of hours is required).
• A target driven person.

• A qualification in business or leisure.
• First aid at work.
• National Pool Lifeguarding qualification.
• Working in Senior Sales role.
• Working in a leisure environment /customer service based environment.
• An ability to feed into and translate into action the marketing strategy and objectives.
• An ability to analyse problems, situations and information, think laterally and present creative solutions.
