Job Description:

 Every day our teams help people in businesses and communities to do what is right and achieve their goals. The Consulting & Advisory Marketing Executive role will sit within Deals Advisory & Consulting (DAC) providing support to the teams within the service line and working closely with the Business Development team members. You will also be part of the wider markets and client’s team, highly skilled marketing and BD professionals, who help the firm to achieve its growth ambitions through the creation and delivery of high impact integrated activity. 

The role is London based but we do allow a level of hybrid working depending on business priorities and events schedule.  
 

A look into the role  

As a Consulting Marketing Executive, you will:   

  • Support the Marketing Manager and Senior Marketing Manager in coordinating and executing campaigns and audience programmes to support the Consulting and go-to-market strategy 

  • Coordinate go to market activities around pivotal external moments 

  • Develop and deliver campaigns that build the brand and are aligned to the strategic direction of the firm and support the growth of our client base through deeper and more valuable relationships. 

  • Work closely with a wider Marketing and Business Development team to deliver the firm’s marketing strategy 

  • Provide support with planning, running, and reporting on key events within the service line, as well as support on digital marketing activities 

  • Support with other activities such as: briefing in design projects to the Design team, maintaining SharePoint pages, drafting social media posts, and fielding PR queries to and from the PR team to the business 

  • Develop & support internal communications, ensuring that all marketing activity is well communicated across DAC and wider, and that feedback, performance and ROI are regularly captured to ensure we are constantly iterating and improving 

  • Work collaboratively with the wider team (BD, regional growth teams, firmwide marketing and others) to ensure alignment of message and approach where appropriate 

  • Attend DAC Markets and Clients Operations meetings and contribute to the discussions 

  • Suggest improvements where you observe that things could be done more efficiently or effectively 

  •  Work collaboratively and support your colleagues in driving increased appreciation and awareness of campaigns internally. 

  • Take the lead in building business cases and gaining buy in and approval from senior stakeholders as well as contributing to raising the profile of the Marketing and BD team across Grant Thornton.

Joining us as a Consulting Marketing Executive, the minimum criteria you’ll need is proven experience in a similar role within a marketing function in a corporate environment or professional services organisation and have excellent communication skills. It would be great if you had some of the following skills, but don’t worry if you don’t tick every box, we’ll help you develop along the way.  

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills 

  • Great organisation skills and have a keen eye for detail 

  • Confidence in working with Office 365, SharePoint, and content management platforms 

  • Educated to a degree level or relevant marketplace equivalent 

  • Experience of managing own time and completing multiple tasks/ assignments with potentially competing deadlines 

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal 

  • Some experience within copywriting and social media
