The Opportunity:
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Data & Marketing Operations Assistant to join the EnergyNet division at Clarion Events.
This an opportunity to support an ambitious team that organises sector-leading events. This entry-level role is perfect for someone passionate about data and eager to grow in marketing operations.
Reporting to and working closely with the Marketing Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing data trends, recommending techniques to increase lead generation and conversion across target markets, and ensuring robust data management and quality of leads for key customer groups. This position is a critical part in curating growth and extracting maximum value for the business.
Utilising our marketing technology platforms, including WordPress, Pardot, Salesforce and PowerBI, you will support the marketing, sales and event production teams with their data and digital requirements, and help to generate insights that will shape our digital products and live event propositions
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with running data queries to segment, personalise and analyse data sets
- Build GDPR-compliant forms, email campaigns, and data segmentation.
- Collaborate with campaign teams to maintain data flow across all events (ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Monitor data quality across all databases and touchpoints, including management of duplicates, sync errors and refresh processes
- Oversee marketing assets, tags and naming conventions to ensure database adheres to agreed structure
- Liaise with the Data and IT teams to integrate data across various platforms, ensuring optimal customer experience and data utilisation for campaigns and reporting
- Support website maintenance, digital tools, and customer experience initiatives.
- Work on website maintenance and optimisation to improve organic traffic capture and conversion.
- Use dashboards to provide behavioral insights that drive customer conversion, engagement, and retention.
- Analyse data trends to recommend appropriate strategies, techniques & channels
- Build audience development plans in line with target markets & data gaps
- Implement data privacy policies across marketing initiatives to reduce operational risk and ensure up-to-date compliance with latest guidance
- Work with Group Marketing Operations to align on best practices, new technologies and cross sector benchmarking
- Continued learning about marketing technologies and automation

- Data Steward – guardian of our customer data who curates its health, growth, engagement and richness to extract maximum value for our business
- Knowledge/experience of marketing automation and CRM technology would be a bonus
- Any experience in data, digital, media or events industry would be a bonus
