Together these channels reach an audience of over 4 million, generating millions of content views each month.

 

The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for leveraging our content to generate significant visibility for GZERO Media channels. This role has the mandate to develop and execute digital marketing strategies to increase traffic and subscribers to our digital platforms and gain attention from desired brand partners. They will collaborate closely with editorial and sales.

 

RESPONSIBILTIES

  • Lead and oversee all digital, newsletter, and social media campaigns for GZERO Media across:
    1. Paid Marketing & Audience Targeting:
      • Work to create a robust social media strategy informed by goals of marketing, sales, and editorial teams that will consistently grow traffic and engagement
      • Develop and execute a platform strategy for GZERO Media and it’s various properties to ensure content is effectively targeted and positioned
      • Create and maintain a social media programming calendar and posting schedule with input from all areas of company
      • Work closely with editorial team on content marketing efforts and integrating editorial promotion within overall plan
      • Oversee all social media platforms for GZERO Media and engage in conversations and answer questions as needed/appropriate on these platforms
      • Propose and manage social budget and analyze, plan, execute, and optimize paid advertising
    1. Brand Partnerships:
      • Develop marketing concepts for brand partnerships in conjunction with the sales and editorial teams
      • Work closely with sales team on preparation of proposals, pitch decks, and any other marketing materials as needed
      • Manage and liaise with external marketing consultants
    1. Content/Website Marketing:
      • Create, maintain, and implement digital marketing and programming calendar
      • Maintain effective, cohesive, and engaging brand messaging
      • Work on the creation of creative briefs and strategy materials. Collaborate with editorial team to position our digital and broadcast content.
      • Manage all website marketing content requiring collaboration with sales to maintain and update regularly.
      • Oversee the creation and tracking of digital clips for all media placements related to brand partner collaborations
    1. Newsletter:
      • Build and manage audience acquisition strategy
    1. Reporting & Optimization:
      • On-going analysis, measurement, optimization and regular reporting of:
        1. Paid marketing campaigns and efforts
        2. Branded sales efforts, reach and views
        3. Website traffic including video views on owned & operated platforms, social platforms and where applicable, partner platforms
        4. Search Enginge Optimization efforts
        5. Marketing campaigns using KPIs to ensure efforts have yielded significant results
      • Create compelling case studies as needed to show value and results of working with GZERO Media

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • 5+ years experience in marketing; 3+ years of digital marketing experience
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, or related field.
  • Interest/expertise in international politics.
  • Experience setting up campaigns on social/advertising platforms including: Facebook Ads Manager, Instagram, TruView, Adwords, etc.
  • Proficiency in web tracking solutions (Google Analytics) and native social media measurement tools (Facebook Insights, Twitter Analytics, YouTube Analytics, etc)
  • Experience working with editorial, product, creative, and technical teams.
  • Understanding of PPC, SEO & SEM.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent analytical, written, and verbal skills with an eye for creating engaging presentations and simple reports
  • Ability to operate in start-up environment, juggle multiple responsibilities simultaneously, and work well with a diverse customer base
  • A strong multi-tasker with the ability to manage multiple projects
  • A positive attitude with a mix of creativity and analytical abilities.
