Job Overview:
As a senior leader within Spotlight Sports Group, the Director B2B Growth will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving the growth of our B2B business globally. The role will focus on expanding SSG’s footprint across international markets by leveraging key product, content, and technology assets to drive substantial business growth via business development opportunities, strategic partnerships, business positioning and sales. This individual will lead the development and delivery of all B2B commercial activity, including high-value, long-term business partnerships, whilst identifying, establishing and fostering new revenue streams and growth opportunities in international marketplaces. The Director B2B Growth will work closely with other senior stakeholders within the organisation to ensure our B2B division maintains strong alignment and helps both direct and drive the company’s broader and changing strategic vision and long-term objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership to expand SSG’s Global Footprint:
    • Take the lead in driving large-scale business development efforts, specifically identifying and capitalising on high-value commercial opportunities in all global markets. Secure new business and establish long-term, strategic relationships. 
    • Leverage SSG’s key product, content, and technology assets to create and secure large-scale business development opportunities in international markets.
    • Work with senior stakeholders including central Business Development to identify potential acquisitions or strategic partnerships that can help to formulate or accelerate the company’s market penetration and enhance market strategy.
  • Defining and Executing B2B Strategy:
    • Play a key role in defining the B2B strategy and aligning it to SSG’s overall business vision, ensuring that it is positioned to drive business development and large-scale partnership growth.
    • Develop and execute business wide strategic initiatives that build the foundation for new high value partnerships, high-impact collaborations, and global expansion.
    • Collaborate with senior leadership to drive and align B2B efforts with the broader organisational goals and ensure the success of the company’s long-term direction.
    • Work proactively with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for partnership growth, cross-selling, and joint ventures.
    • Ensure that each partnership is nurtured effectively and delivers sustainable value through innovation and mutual business development.
  • Collaboration with Innovation and Product Development Teams:
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including insights and innovation teams, to ensure that SSG’s products and services are ambitiously aligned with global marketplace strategies.
    • Guide product development to meet the evolving needs of high-value partners and ensure the company’s offerings support business development goals.
  • B2B Marketing Leadership:
    • Lead SSG’s B2B marketing at industry level, directing on long term planning and execution to set the tone for how the brand is represented in the marketplace and how the narrative for SSG is received by all key partners globally.
    • Ensure that B2B marketing efforts are aligned with the B2B business development initiatives and contribute to the growth of large-scale activity and partnerships.
    • Establish thought leadership in the market by ensuring the collaborative and personal showcasing of SSG’s innovation, partnership successes and business strategy.
  • Monitoring and Tracking Performance:
    • Take full responsibility for tracking and monitoring the performance of all B2B sales, partnership, and marketing activities.
    • Ensure the business has full visibility on marketplace progress, providing regular insights on partnership development, revenue growth, and market impact.
    • Use data-driven insights to adjust strategies as needed, ensuring the achievement of key business development targets.
  • Team Collaboration and Wider Leadership:
    • As a leader, work closely with other senior stakeholders across the organisation to ensure the successful future direction of the group and tight alignment with long term  B2B business goals.
    • Lead, mentor, and inspire teams across the B2B sales, partnership, and marketing functions, fostering an environment that promotes collaboration, innovation, and accountability. 
    • Ensure that all internal teams work seamlessly together to achieve business development goals, optimise partnership growth, and exceed targets.
  • International Relationship and Stakeholder Management:
    • Build and maintain deep, strategic relationships with key global stakeholders, ensuring that SSG is positioned as a trusted partner and leader in the sports organisation, sportsbook, media, and affiliate industries.
    • Ensure SSG’s presence and reputation are elevated globally through active engagement with partners and thought leadership initiatives.
    • Proven senior experience in business development, B2B partnerships, marketing and growing large scale business activity, with a strong focus on driving expansion strategies globally. 
    • Ability to identify and act on large-scale business opportunities that drive global growth.
    • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels and across different regions. High levels of ability to educate and align staff members across fast-evolving commercial and business goals. 
    • Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities, able to track performance and adapt strategies to ensure success. Proficiency in CRM software, business budgeting and tracking. 
    • Change driven, entrepreneurial skills, and a proven ability to stimulate high levels of business growth
