Role and Responsibilities

Evention is looking to expand its market share in hospitality and retail by continuing to launch new sales and marketing initiatives around our core and emerging software solutions. The Director of Marketing is responsible for overseeing and coordinating marketing activities to meet the company goals. The role will develop and implement strategic plans to increase market share, drive sales growth, and increase brand visibility.

  • Strategic Planning – Collaborate with executive and leadership teams to establish sales and marketing objectives, strategies, and budgets aligned with Evention’s overall goals.

  • Marketing Strategy – Develop comprehensive marketing strategies to promote Evention’s solutions and services. This involves market research, identifying target audiences, defining brand positioning, creating marketing campaigns, managing advertising and public relations, and driving digital marketing initiatives.

  • Market Analysis – Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify market trends, customer needs, and business opportunities. This analysis should be utilized to drive market strategies, product enhancements, and pricing strategies.

  • Performance Analysis – Analyze internal sales and marketing data to measure effectiveness of both strategies and campaigns. Track and report on key KPIs on weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis. Conduct ROI analysis and use analysis to provide reports, insights, and recommendations for continuous improvement.

  • Brand Management – Oversee Evention’s brand identity to ensure consistent branding and messaging across all marketing channels, sales processes, and customer touchpoints. Maintain brand guidelines, monitor brand reputation, and implement strategies to enhance brand awareness and loyalty.

  • Sales Collateral and Enablement – Partner with all revenue generators to gather requirements and oversee the development of Evention’s materials and assets leveraged executing the GTM plan.

  • Customer and Partner Relationship Building – Cultivate and maintain relationships with key customers, partners, and industry influencers. Attend industry events/conferences and network to establish strategic partnerships to support business growth.

  • Cross Team Collaboration – Work across team including product, professional support, support, and finance to align sales and marketing activities with overall business objections. Actively participate in product launch, leadership meetings which include cross-functional teams.

  • Manage Team of Marketing Resources – Oversee the daily operations of the marketing organization and work with the team to deliver value against organizational objectives via marketing activities.

Salary: $130,000-150,000

***This is an exempt and in-office/hybrid role in Chicago – remote candidates will not be considered. Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States – Evention does not sponsor.
