GENERAL PURPOSE

The Director of MillerKnoll Brand Marketing will build a brand from infancy and shape it to be one that is admired globally—with a sphere of influence beyond the bounds of our industry. You are a strategist with strong critical thinking, can execute marketing campaigns with excellence, and have an entrepreneurial mindset. As internal diplomat and external brand ambassador, you rally teams around the brand’s vision, build consensus, and inspire others to action.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Brand strategy and brand management

  • Deliver powerful global brand strategy that builds the brand with a start-up mentality.

  • Communicate the brand strategy internally and secure organizational buy-in and alignment.

  • Develop global brand marketing strategy with clear goals that align with the MillerKnoll brand vision.

  • Partner effectively with channels/regions to ensure their marketing strategies are aligned.

  • Develop a strong brand POV for what is on-brand for MillerKnoll.

Marketing excellence

  • Develop and execute high-impact brand marketing campaigns that deliver on the vision.

  • Develop a global brand exhibit strategy and brief for the creative + environments teams.

  • Develop owned channel content strategy, including web and social; oversee junior brand manager’s execution.

  • Build external relationships with like-minded brands and organizations to develop innovative partnerships, campaigns, etc.

  • Write excellent, quality briefs.

  • Establish a measurement methodology, optimize efforts over time.

  • Identify the winning concepts and most strategic way to execute; direct use of time and resources effectively.

  • Shepherd ideas through to execution (no task is too small).

  • Partner closely with Corporate Comms to shape external communication strategies.

Leadership and diplomacy

  • Acts as a diplomat on behalf of MillerKnoll Brand; develops strong relationships and influence. across a wide range of internal teams, functions, brands, etc. 

  • Partners with regional leads to ensure global marketing alignment.

  • High EQ and can navigate nuances of the org, able to build consensus.

  • Develops individual and team talent to perform at an exceptional level and demonstrate marketing excellence.

  • Provides solutions for addressing and improving internal processes; bias for simplicity and agility.

Education and Experience

  • 10+ years' experience in marketing.

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • Must have prior in-house brand marketing experience, global brand experience, social media experience or fluency.

  • Location in NYC metro area strongly preferred but not required.

A starting compensation range for this role is $142,500.00 - $182,525.00. Relevant salary considerations will include candidate qualifications and experience, other business/organizational needs and market factors . You may also be eligible to receive a geographic premium, annual discretionary incentive and equity awards which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
