We are seeking a seasoned Director of Sales & Marketing to lead the commercial strategy for an ultra-luxury 5-star Caribbean property. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced sales and marketing leader with strong East Coast market expertise and deep relationships with luxury consortia to join a world-class team.
The role is based in New York and will oversee all sales and marketing functions, managing a high-performing team and collaborating closely with the Director of Leisure Sales based in Florida.
Develop and execute comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to drive revenue across all market segments (leisure, groups, corporate).
Manage and mentor a dedicated team including a Reservations Manager, Digital Marketing Manager, and Sales Manager.
Partner closely with the Director of Leisure Sales to ensure alignment on strategic leisure accounts and market activities.
Build and nurture strong relationships with key luxury travel consortia and agency networks (e.g., Forbes, Virtuoso, Signature, etc.).
Represent the property at major industry events, tradeshows, and client meetings, with a strong focus on the East Coast market.
Oversee all digital marketing initiatives, brand positioning, PR strategies, and distribution channels to maximize visibility and bookings.
Set annual budgets, forecasts, and KPIs, ensuring targets are met and exceeded.
Provide regular reporting on market trends, competitive analysis, and business opportunities to ownership and senior leadership.
Serve as the face of the property in the U.S. market, fostering long-term relationships with partners, agencies, and clients.
Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive sales and marketing leadership experience in the luxury hospitality sector.
Proven track record of success with luxury Caribbean or resort properties preferred.
Established relationships with leading luxury consortia and East Coast agency networks.
Deep knowledge of the East Coast luxury travel market, including New York, Boston, Washington D.C., and surrounding areas.
Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams (sales, reservations, digital marketing).
Strategic thinker with strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
Highly motivated, entrepreneurial, and able to thrive in a remote, market-based leadership role.
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
