About the Role & Program
The Experiential Marketing department hosts clients and fans at unique experiential events surrounding major sporting events. These events include, the Super Bowl, ESPYS, espnW Women + Sports Summit, EDGE Innovation Conference, F1, NFL Monday Night Football, and the College Football Playoff National Championship Game, ESPN Experiences and others. We also coordinate corporate meetings, executive dinners, and conferences. At each event we produce, we look to showcase the different properties within ESPN and Disney by using new technology, creating exciting activations that deliver data, and designing on brand experiences for clients, staff and sponsors. The program dates are June 2nd through August 8, 2025.
What You Will Do
We are looking for an intern with strong communication and organizational skills. The ideal candidate is hard working, positive and resourceful, who works well in a team environment. Responsibilities include:
Assisting in ordering merchandise and branded gifts and managing supply box for all events
Researching event related venues and décor ideas
Conducting industry research, specifically technology trends
Coordinating printed material and branded event collateral for onsite execution and organizing premiums and branded gifts
Communicating with a variety of different teams internally
Updating the Event Marketing Planning Calendar and Shared Documents
Required Qualifications & Skills
Fundamental understanding of the ESPN portfolio
Ability to work both independently and within a team setting
Fundamental administrative and office knowledge
Sports knowledgeable from both a fan and business perspective
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications
Can keep up in fast paced environments
Strong professional and personal ethics with an ability to communicate comfortably and professionally with talent and executives
Willingness to complete any task no matter how small or large
Detail oriented with an ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects simultaneously
Education
Junior or Senior year
Major or previous coursework in Business, Marketing, Communications or related major preferred
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information
Fully available from Monday through Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the New York City area
Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
