Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive, motivated, and creative Events & Marketing Manager to lead our events planning and marketing efforts, driving brand awareness and engagement across the FinTech ecosystem. This role combines hands-on event delivery with strategic marketing initiatives, offering an exceptional opportunity to make a tangible impact on our growing organization.
As part of a collaborative and dynamic team, the successful candidate will play a key role in the planning, execution, and marketing of Innovate Finance’s events - including the annual Innovate Finance Global Summit attracting over 1,500 attendees - as well as drive marketing campaigns that strengthen our brand and member engagement and acquisition.
Key Responsibilities
Event Management
- Plan, execute, and oversee all logistical and operational elements for over 50 annual events, including roundtables, webinars, conferences, and Innovate Finance Global Summit.
- Maintain and update the internal and external event calendars across platforms.
- Manage event invites, registrations, RSVPs, and post-event communications.
- Source and manage venues, suppliers, and event budgets with P&L management.
- Develop detailed event project plans, including timelines, staffing, and budgets, and lead internal planning calls.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for events, troubleshooting and ensuring seamless delivery onsite.
- Collaborate with the membership, content, marketing, PR, and communications teams for smooth marketing, speaker engagement, and attendee experiences.
- Produce reports on event metrics such as CSATs, attendance, and ROI, and share insights with stakeholders.
Marketing Management
- Support the development and execution of marketing campaigns to retain and attract members, sponsors, and partners.
- Plan and manage digital marketing campaigns across email, web, and social media platforms.
- Draft and analyze campaign performance reports using CRM tools like Hubspot.
- Produce and distribute content, including blogs, podcasts, corporate announcements, and event marketing materials.
- Assist in creating public event briefing documents for the Innovate Finance senior team.
- Collaborate with the business development team on demand-generation campaigns.
- Oversee events marketing strategies and execution to maximize attendance and engagement.
Required Skills & Experience
- Event Management: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in event logistics, including large-scale events.
- Marketing: Strong written communication skills with a proven ability to manage digital campaigns and content creation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, GSuite, and CRM tools (e.g., Hubspot).
- Experience with event platforms like Eventbrite, BrightTalk, and website CMS tools such as WordPress.
- Familiarity with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube).
- Budget management experience.
- Knowledge of FinTech or financial services is preferred but not essential.

Position Details
- Type: Full-time, permanent (Mon-Fri).
- Location: Hybrid (2-3 days per week in the London HQ in Liverpool Street, remote working otherwise).
- Flexibility: Early mornings and/or late evenings on event days.
