Job Description :

Havas Media Network’s Global Marketing & Communications team is seeking a Global Marketing Managing Director to spearhead the network’s growth marketing strategy. This individual will be responsible for advancing a three-tiered strategy focused on:  

  • Clients – Engaging existing clients to pave the way for organic growth and ensuring perception of Havas and our narrative remains top of mind  
  • Prospects – Establishing new and cultivating existing relationships with future clients and industry intermediaries in a position to influence major growth decisions  
  • New Business – Supporting the new business process with impactful marketing & communications efforts aligned to growth opportunities

 
Reporting to HMN’s Global Chief of Staff and working closely with the Global CEO and other global leaders, the Global Marketing Managing Director will be a hands-on, highly visible and senior member of the Marketing/Communications team. He/she/they should be comfortable straddling both high-level strategy, along with overseeing day-to-day execution to drive marketing results. He/she/they will be responsible for a team of five direct reports.

Responsibilities  

  • Define and lead HMN’s marketing strategy, deploying myriad marketing/communications touchpoints designed to engage clients and prospects 

  • In collaboration with Strategy, New Business and Product leads, define and keep HMN’s marketplace narrative strong and differentiated   

  • Develop relationships with client leaders, clients and partners to surface high-impact marketing/communications opportunities 

  • Oversee production of impactful marketing/communications materials, ensuring strong message alignment, branding consistency and overall excellence 

  • Develop HMN’s client/prospect event strategy, considering both top-tier industry tentpoles (e.g., Cannes, WFA, etc.), as well as bespoke HMN-led events  

  • Merchandise content and press appropriately for clients, prospects and intermediaries 

  • Serve as a key liaison to the global growth team, ensuring marketing efforts are working in service of active new business priorities and supporting consultant engagement   

  • Oversee overall paid strategy and opportunities, including event sponsorships, paid social targeting and beyond  

  • Disseminate growth marketing best practices to HMN’s global marketing, communications and new business network  

  • In collaboration with Media, Creative and Health colleagues, work in service of advancing Havas’ CONVERGED narrative in the marketplace, along with  collaborating on cross-group prospecting and marketing initiatives  

 

Requirements  

  • Natural collaborator and connector with ability to cultivate strong and productive network relationships across Media, Creative and Health divisions   

  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and understanding of agency networks, client needs and marketplace dynamics  

  • Strong emotional intelligence and executive presence; ability to lead with influence 

  • Data-driven and results-oriented; continually measuring impact, learning and adapting approach based on insights  

  • Strong knowledge, grounding and experience within both new business and marketing/communications remits  

  • Experience managing a decentralized/remote team across myriad time zones/countries    

  • 18+ years of experience
