The role involves reporting and visualization, custom analysis of user behavior, outcomes, and customer experience, support of the optimization roadmap, and project management.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital marketing measurement and optimization, data-driven marketing, and technology, with a proven track record of managing large-scale marketing analytics initiatives.

As the Manager of Marketing Analytics, you will:

Lead Marketing Analytics

  • Work closely with the Executive Director and product marketing leadership team to set strategic goals and to make daily decisions for the operation of the marketing analytics practice.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the analytics team (currently three members with the opportunity to expand). Create a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth within the team. Identify priority areas for skills development and hiring and collaboration with CME’s data science team and customer experience analytics team.

  • Focus on operational excellence, developing and implementing analytics processes, systems, and frameworks to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and enhance the overall effectiveness of how we measure and optimize digital media channels (both owned and external).

Measure marketing effectiveness

  • Lead the analytics team to measure and report on full-funnel performance of marketing initiatives

  • Ensure that analytics and qualitative research insights are fully integrated into marketing operations and project plans in a systematic manner

  • Collaborate with marketing leadership to improve data literacy, capabilities, and usage of analytics to optimize campaign efforts and ongoing channel performance

  • Support the analytics team with the necessary tools, training, and career development opportunities to increase their impact across the organization and stay current with industry-leading practices

Develop the team and capabilities

  • Assess and prioritize competing demands for staff and projects, balancing strategic benefits and resourcing and capacity issues

  • Oversee the creation and management of the analytics dashboards and reporting processes, with a focus on streamlining the creation and management of the dashboards.

  • Oversee project and campaign tools and performance communications to ensure that the department and stakeholders can optimize their efforts to deliver effective marketing

Oversee tools and technology

  • Work closely with external analytics technology vendors and media agencies to manage integration with CME teams and establish roadmaps for future capabilities.

  • Stay abreast of emerging marketing technologies and trends, recommending new tools and systems to improve our output and our people.

  • Own the marketing analytics roadmap, ensuring marketing technology (e.g., Tableau, Looker, GA4) is evaluated, implemented, and customized to meet the needs of the marketing department. Oversee the change management aspects of rolling out new tools and features, ensuring teams have the technical training and clear understanding of processes.

We’re looking for strong, impactful work experience, which typically includes:

  • A bachelor’s degree

  • Over 6 years of experience in data science, marketing analytics, performance media, or related fields

  • A deep working knowledge of multi-channel digital journeys and the optimal ways to measure and enhance their performance

  • Superb organizational skills and proven ability to successfully manage a multitude of tasks, projects, and information simultaneously

  • Highly motivated and meticulous

  • Able to navigate complexity and uncertainty with ease, driving stakeholder decisions and process improvements

  • Hands-on experience with leading digital marketing and ad agency project methodologies and staffing

  • Experience with enterprise tools (e.g., Workfront) and leading digital marketing technologies (Adobe Marketing Suite, Google Ads, Salesforce Marketing Cloud)
