The role:
We are looking for a creative thinker who has experience executing clever strategic marketing plans, campaigns, and tactics that can translate to our business to drive awareness, trial, and loyalty for our restaurants. We are looking for an outgoing marketer that is willing to roll up their sleeves to assist in the execution of our omni-channel marketing strategy. The ideal candidate can create great social media content, is a natural in front of the camera, is eager to learn, and is ready to contribute from day one. We operate in a fast-paced, ever-changing, and rewarding environment. This position reports to the Marketing Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Create and manage social content for Instagram and TikTok, producing weekly Reels/TikToks in a brand-appropriate voice.
- Develop and execute social media strategy, telling MIXT’s brand story through engaging content.
- Monitor KPIs and track performance to optimize campaigns and identify growth opportunities.
- Stay updated on trends and competitors, leveraging insights to enhance MIXT’s digital presence.
- Engage with the community, responding to DMs, comments, tagged posts, and influencers.
- Manage influencer outreach for targeted campaigns and audience expansion.
- Support marketing initiatives, including content calendar management and SEO-driven blog/LinkedIn posts.
- Coordinate local marketing efforts, partnering with businesses and universities for events, giveaways, and collaborations.
- Assist with new restaurant openings, supporting marketing activations, and operational preparations for our store teams.
- Update and maintain digital listings on Google Business, Yelp, Nextdoor, and more.
- Manage and program weekly email campaigns, ensuring accurate scheduling and segmentation.
- Communicate promotions to store teams with clear execution details.
- Explore emerging social platforms and trends to keep MIXT ahead of the competition.
- Help with photo and video shoot coordination and execution.
- Assist with other marketing initiatives as they are developed.
Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree required, preferably in marketing, business, or related field.
- 1-2 years of marketing experience; food service, retail, and/or CPG experience is a plus.
- Experience and working knowledge of social media channels from content creation to posting, engaging, and reporting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable appearing in content for photos and videos.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently while proactively seeking answers.
- Strong multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative thinker who contributes ideas and problem-solves collaboratively.
- Passion for brand, influencer, and social media marketing trends.
- Proficiency in video editing tools like Canva, CapCut, or TikTok.
- Familiarity with Google Suite, Dropbox, and Asana is a plus
