About the role:

We are looking for a Marketing Executive to join our growing Marketing team to help propel our portfolio of Climate Action digital and in person events as well as our bespoke events working in partnership with key organisations. 

Working within the Marketing department, you will be required to execute digital marketing campaigns to engage with, build and deliver high quality audiences for bespoke client event as well as our portfolio of flagship events including The Sustainable Investment Forum Europe and North America, The Climate Action Innovation Zone, The Hydrogen Transition Summit and The Sustainable Innovation Forum during COP. 

Excellent communications skills are required along with an interest in sustainable investment and environmental governance would also be a major advantage. 

You will work closely with conference producers and sales departments ensuring that the events are a success and the target audience is delivered. 

This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience from working on a number of high-profile events attended by senior representatives of regional governments, UN agencies, international and regional NGOs, investors and donors, research institutes and solution providers. 

Main duties and responsibilities include but not limited to: 

  • Develop, manage, and publish content across Climate Action’s digital platforms, including web, social media, and email newsletters. 
  • Plan and execute digital marketing campaigns to drive brand awareness, lead generation, and audience engagement. 
  • Monitor and optimize campaign performance across multiple channels, ensuring alignment with key objectives. 
  • Grow and engage Climate Action’s network by leveraging data-driven insights and audience research. 
  • Track campaign performance against KPIs, compiling reports and providing recommendations for improvement. 
  • Optimize website content to enhance SEO and improve search visibility. 
  • Conduct market research to identify the most effective platforms and strategies for audience engagement. 
  • Collaborate with the Production and Partnerships teams to ensure marketing efforts support event goals. 
  • Write and execute targeted email marketing campaigns to nurture and convert leads.


Requirements

The successful applicant will have the following qualities:

  • A minimum of 3 years specifically in a B2B Event Marketing role, ideally within a commercial conference business
  • General marketing experience across email, social and web 
  • Proficient CRM, CMS and social media management skills 
  • Event Marketing experience would be desirable 
  • Highly motivated with excellent written and verbal skills 
  • Communication & organisation skills 
  • Passion for sustainability (desirable but not essential) 
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office and LinkedIn 
  • Able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment 
  • Self-starter that can work independently and as part of a team
