Job Description


Marketing Manager Candidate

Nasdaq Private Market is looking to add an experienced professional to our Marketing team in New York. The Marketing Manager will serve as an integral part of a high energy, highly productive team responsible for strategic and tactical marketing activities which support the company’s global initiatives.


The person in this role will be responsible for producing and editing digital and print content for global marketing, sales, and public relations purposes as well as for internal communications.


The ideal candidate will have professional experience as a financial services, fintech, and/or technical writer and editor with exposure to marketing and public relations. In this role, the candidate will ensure that the messaging is clear and that there is a consistent style and voice throughout all marketing and communications touch points. This is a hands-on role within our company, requiring someone who is organized and can manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ideally, the candidate will have experience in the technology, private markets, securities, banking, brokerage, and/or asset management industries, specifically communicating with the corporate community and institutional investor community. Strong verbal communication skills are also required and experience with content management systems and social media strategy is essential. Graphic design, HTML, and marketing automation platform experience (Salesforce and Pardot) is also very valuable. The successful candidate should have a proven track record for working with a sense of urgency and a strong attention to detail.



Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Gain a deep working understanding of company products, business objectives and positioning in the market
  • Collaborate with Marketing and other firm departments to ensure consistency of brand, tone and messaging throughout communications for distribution via internal and external channels
  • Proofread, fact check and edit written materials quickly and efficiently
  • Research, write, edit, review and manage the production of high-quality, public-facing content including presentations, press releases, pitch books, marketing literature, newsletters, thought leadership, web content and social media posts, which address client needs and internal stakeholder communications
  • Create and build HTML emails, banners, invitations, advertisements, signage, and event programs
  • Responsible for monitoring success of marketing tools and campaigns via Salesforce CRM and creating/editing dashboards to track lead generation and ROI
  • Manage event calendar and related communications
  • Maintain media, marketing and conference and event databases
  • Perform special projects as assigned which may include research, event management and recruitment for corporate social responsibility projects both internally and externally
  • Build and maintain shared repository of marketing collateral on corporate intranet
  • Produce and act as point for physical production and distribution of materials
  • Manage branded giveaway inventory
  • Responsible for maintaining current web content across corporate website
  • Daily social media channel maintenance

 

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, English, journalism, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience as a writer/content creator in a fintech and/or financial services marketing and communications department
  • Superior writing skills to produce compelling content, emphasizing company’s value proposition
  • Strong attention to detail for writing, editing and research assignments
  • Experience in researching, fact-checking, and ensuring quality, accurate material for publishing and distribution on deadline
  • Strong working knowledge and proficiency within Salesforce
  • Graphic design skills (Adobe Creative Suite, HTML, Figma etc.)
  • Willingness to work independently in a fast-moving, quick turnaround, multi-task environment
  • High level of self-motivation, excellent organizational skills, and ability to anticipate employee and client needs
  • Aptitude for communicating complex information clearly and persuasively
  • Familiarity with financial and economic material
  • Ability to accept constructive criticism, and willingness to grow and learn professionally
  • A self-motivated team player, willing to pitch in, adapt to change, and accomplish goals within the organization
  • Patience, flexibility, and a willingness to take ownership of new projects as assigned
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Content management system and marketing automation technology experience
  • Intermediate knowledge of social media (LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)
  • Eye for contemporary corporate design, photography, and video
  • Sample portfolio of prior work to showcase


Preference will be given to candidates who possess:

  • Solid grasp of general marketing principles and tools
  • Knowledge of AP writing style
  • Strong Salesforce skills and experience
  • Relationships with financial services reporters and broadcast producers
  • Conference and event management experience
  • PPC and ABM experience
  • HTML coding
  • Social Media management platforms
