What you will do

The Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer is responsible for the creation, development, and execution of marketing programs that support the strategic objectives of PGIM Private Capital (PPC) and increases external visibility through multiple channels. This role oversees and implements marketing capabilities across the content, distribution, and brand spectrum for prospective borrowers. In addition to leading an organization of internal marketing professionals, this individual will also work with the Prudential, PGIM Marketing, PGIM Private Alternatives, Investor Relations, and Public Relations teams. The position can be based out of Chicago, Newark, or New York City.

What you can expect

  • Develop and execute on the PGIM Private Capital marketing strategy through multiple channels, including digital, social, advertising and brand management
  • Increase awareness of PGIM Private Capital’s total credit platform with investors and external talent.
  • Develop and manage the annual marketing budget. Establish monitoring protocols to assess return on time and operating expenses and make adjustments to improve on these investments. Leverage data in decision making process
  • Maintain a strong and current understanding of private credit market including, trends, investor expectations and competitive landscape
  • Manage the marketing team with focus on high performance execution and developing individual talent
  • Develop and distribute marketing content in support of borrower deal teams and investor development business plans and campaigns
  • Further the PPC brand in coordinated manner relative to stakeholder audience and geographic location
  • Enable origination growth by expanding and enriching data used for prospecting, conversion of leads to contacts, and qualifying and tiering companies
  • Identify and manage external service providers when needed to support execution of the marketing strategy
  • Improve existing, and build new, marketing capabilities by leveraging trends, techniques, data, and technology
  • Travel (~25%) will be required

What you will bring

  • 15+ years of marketing and project management experience, preferably in an asset management, private credit, or large financial services organization
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to formulate and articulate strategy, then translate and execute enabling initiatives
  • Collaborative working style that incorporates multiple stakeholders’ views along with the ability to influence others while developing and maintaining strong working relationships
  • Experience in managing and growing a team along with external vendors
  • Ability to define a vision, frame and execute on implementation approach, and creatively persevere to deliver success
  • Comfortable in working with all levels of the organization in a demanding, high-profile role
  • Demonstrated marketing leadership along with a committed player-coach operating mentality
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience in investment organizations providing marketing support and brand awareness around investment fundraising is a highly desirable plus
  • Bachelor’s degree required

Compensation Disclosure

Compensation will be commensurate with experience and will be comprised of base salary, discretionary annual incentive, and eligibility for long-term compensation in the form of Prudential stock. 

Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $175,000 to $210,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
