Senior Broker- US Casualty

Aon is hiring a Senior Broker for our US Casualty team in London, part of the Global Broking Centre. The role involves marketing and negotiating business in the Lloydโ€™s and Company Markets daily, following our Marketing Strategy.

What the day will look like

  • File maintenance โ€“ ECM
  • Send initial engagement to client/network
  • Present terms to client / network
  • Review / Create / Enhance Submission
  • Send Cover confirmation to client/network
  • Review draft / final MRC
  • Firm Order broking (Ebix / wet stamps / email)
  • Follow market broking
  • Record broking activity in market sheets
  • Complete quote/firm order information in Brokasure including finalise MRC
  • Provide invoicing instructions
  • Providing benchmarking and placement advice to clients
  • Client relationship management (direct clients and/or network)
  • Client meetings
  • Lead quote broking
  • Scan / index final agreed slip

The Casualty broking team consists of brokers with diverse expertise and varying levels of experience. The team manages a portfolio of well-known clients. This is an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with access to Lloyds, the London market.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

As a Senior Broker your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

  • Excellent understanding of London insurance market dynamics and core processes.
  • Ability to use insurance industry IT systems to efficiently deliver client service.
  • Experience of managing effective client relationships.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • High level of numeracy.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent understanding and application of compliance and FCA regulation.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team.
